Journey to Leanness: Fat Loss Log

The chart is super impressive. Just straight down. Great job, mate. Six pack for new years?

I'm a former super fatty too, GLPs are helping me get leaner than I've ever been as adult. How's your loose skin, if any?

Weigh in today: 205.4 (new low)

Hit 205.6 yesterday, which was a new low. Prior 7-8 days since last update have been between 206 and 209.

Raising the test dose was a great idea. Thanks @BabaJagga - training quality has been much better.

Been feeling great lately in general.

Thank you brother. Six pack by new years would be absolutely sick, at the current trajectory I don't see it happening though. I thought I might have blurry abs at 170-175, but I don't really think so, I was looking at a bunch of progress pictures of 5'6 guys and you don't see a whole lot of six packs at that weight/height. Usually more in the 150s or low 160s range. So assuming 160lbs, that's 45lbs in 67 days. But if everything goes perfect, I'll be at 175 by then, which is a lot better than 205, so I'm happy either way.

And hell yeah, GLPs are awesome. It gives me this mental confidence during this cut that I can actually maintain it. Maintenance has always been my killer, I've lost significant weight many times but always creep back up. I know with GLPs I can find some homeostasis.

No loose skin at all. I'm down 49lbs since last year, so I'd assume I'd see some by now, but maybe I'll see it in another 30lbs? Gotta make an Indian order soon and grab some Accutane to try out the low-dose Accutane stuff @Ghoul has talked about, wanna get going on GHK-cu as well, hopefully this Chinese vendor situation normalizes a bit. Just as a prophylactic.

It has normalized….for now.

Don’t forget to optimize your lipids and blood pressure, now that you’re getting a body that makes you actually want to live longer.

Weigh in the day prior: 203.4 (new low)

More of the same. Keeping up training and dieting hard. Feeling good.

heh we are almost the same weight.
maybe you will gain some water weight with more test but you should be able to train longer harder and recover better

Hell yeah brother. Judging from your pictures, I'm guessing we look very different at 200lbs ;)

Gimme a year to catch up! Haha

Looking good brother. Just to add to what everyone else is saying increasing the test dose will help. Personally for me adding just that little boost made night and day difference. I didn’t drop weight but I was melting body fat and was not hungry.

naaah man, you dont need year, just after you sre lean, bump uo the test and kcals and training intensity.
I'm so stoked to up the cals and training intensity bro. So fuckin stoked. I'm responding so well to the modest test boost, I can only imagine what 400-500mg could do.

Thank you man, much appreciated. Yeah its pretty remarkable how much better I feel on the increased test. Might keep this as my TRT dose for a while, while I'm still young.

Weigh in today was 201.2, another new low. Gonna feel awesome to be below 200 - always a huge milestone.

Gotta get some labs soon to see how everything's looking at the new test dose. Curious what E2 will look like with my 0.25mg adex EOD + weight loss. Wonder if it'll be at or lower than my 140mg TRT dose from when I was fatter.

Been a few weeks, but still going smoothly.

Weighed in at 197.6 today. Feels good to be below 200.

Progress on big lifts has been pretty slow - adding a rep here and there. Given the big deficit, I think that's mostly a win, slow progress is much better than going backwards.

About due for an update to the chart.11.21 Update - Weight Loss Since Start of PSMF(1).webp

Weigh in today: 189.6

Big woosh from 192.2 yesterday to 189.6 today.

The 190s were tough and slower than the previous 10. Forced me to clean up the corners of the diet that were getting sloppy. Taking bites of random things and not logging it, going 100-200cals over daily goal regularly, that sort of thing.

Training enjoyment has been improving a lot, feel like the increased test dose has really set in and I can bring more intensity. Failure sets ending with like 5-7 second isometrics just trying to grind that last rep, rather than just trying for 1-2s and quitting on it. Feel like I'm learning to trade harder as I try to push intensity more and more and it feels good. What @BabaJagga said about not really knowing what failure is earlier in this thread is very true, I feel like as I push harder and harder I keep unlocking an extra gear, like I can get another quarter rep, more partials, can actually grind out that 7 second final rep, give that actual failure rep all I got rather than assuming it wont go up. I assume this will become more true as I continue training hard.

Another thing I've really been underestimating is actually timing my carbs like an hour before workout rather than just having them distributed throughout the day. Makes a world of difference between feeling flat at the gym and actually making a rep or even weight PR. Thanks @BabaJagga again, been on the money.

Still training EOD: PPLPP

Minor changes:
- Preacher curl now main bicep movement. Starting to really love it
- Rear delt flys on one of those old Nautilus machines with the round pads with the fixed movement pattern. Just feels way better.
- Swapped regular lat pulldowns for Nautilus Nitro lat pulldown. My short little arms hurt at the top of regular pulldowns from being extended so high, the nautilus one lets me adjust seat height
- have been using Hoist chest press (the one where you rock back and forth). it looks like a joke but i love it.
- tried the pendulum squat recently, might swap that out for barbell squat its such a grinder.

Updating the chart:

So this slow (compared to expectations) cut from 200 to 190 has been pretty annoying to me, seeing the same 194lb weight on the scale for like the fifth day in a row gets annoying so I'm gonna do a cycle of full-on Rapid Fat Loss a la Lyle McDonald. The complete version, without compromises.

Just 150g of whey isolate per day, for as long as I can handle it. Maybe that's 3 days, maybe it's two weeks, who knows. But I want to make up for some sloppiness over the last 6 weeks. Wanna get a little momentum going again, very psychologically important to me. In the past when I've lost weight, I was doing extended 48/72hr fasts, so this isn't really intimidating at all, considering I can drink vanilla iso100 which I find pretty tasty, instead of eating absolutely nothing.

will update more frequently during my RFL stage.

To continue this thought from my previous post, this is super tricky with some movements. Lat pulldowns especially. Get to a point where you can't even grind it halfway down, but if I really fuckin yank it down using I guess the rest of your back beyond your lats, i can get a few more reps. I don't know where to cut it off, and how much utility I get from those cheat reps. Same with the seated Lateral Raise machine - where you can kind of shrug it up and puff out your chest to get a few more reps, but its a lot more obvious in this case where it just becomes some sort of midback movement rather than delts, so no issue racking it without doing these cheat reps.

There's a guy on YouTube called Jonathan Warren I've been looking into. He's some sort of biomechanics guy and a lot of his form cues have been really helpful to ensure you're fully targeting what you're trying to target.

I underestimated how much of a skill bodybuilding style training is compared to strength training. Really fun to keep learning along the way.

Today's weigh in: 187.2 (new low)

The RFL whey diet sucks lol (this is obviously not what Lyle recommends, so its not like RFL sucks, just this modification). Made it three days in and just felt nauseous all the time, I feel way better eating nothing at all rather than whey goop. Interesting experiment, probably dropped 1.5lbs from it. But not for me. Instead of doing that, I'm just trying to keep the calories below 800 and eat almost pure protein, and allowing myself to come in at 110g or 120g for the day rather than the 140-150g goal I usually set, because I just want to lose the weight, I just can't imagine it makes a world of a difference in terms of muscle retention. Just trying to speed up the cut however I can because it's annoying to constantly turn down social stuff and be a bit of a hermit.
