My buddie's friend who makes it claims they can do it with any quality trim. He supposedly has some special, extra filtering step that turns it clear.

I would be interested to hear/read up on this filtering process.
My buddy was vague but I don't think he honestly knows what they are exactly doing but it sounded like it is being filtered, somehow, before the solvent is evaporated.

I’m putting money on it is plants harvested early before trichomes turn. I just did some searching, and nothing came back on any new filtering processes for bho. Trichome color is a chemical process of plant maturity, and I don’t see that being filtered out in any way.
I did see where dispensaries are doing what I describe and putting a markup on the end product because buyers just don’t know. I would bet whoever told him it was a special filtering process is BS’ing him.
Could be bs. I really don't have any first hand knowledge of how they are doing it. Just what he mentioned when he showed me the picture. I'll have to ask him if he has anym information. Stayed tuned.
So, my buddy says his friend works for a commercial type operation. Says they run 4 machines at once, each taking 4 lbs of "bio mass". He says all extraction is pushed through some kind of pressurised filter (he mentioned coffee filters and possibly charcoal) before it's evaporated. That includes the normal shatter with color we're used to seeing as well as this clear stuff. He says he can make any of it clear though. Definitely not premature trichromes. He also says that the people he works for prefer it with some color because that is what the customers want. I asked him to pick his buddies brain a bit next chance he gets. He also said that his buddy figured this process out himself so that may be why you aren't finding info. I'll update if I hear anything more specific.

Hey i can use Marijuana due to my job. The came out with the delta 8. Would this be safe to use incase of a drug screen. From what i understand GC/MS test detects only a specific compound, and it will look for delta-9's metabolite THC-COOH. If the GC/MS test doesn't look for delta-8's metabolites specifically, it won't detect them, and the initial “false positive” test will be negative for THC.

Theres delta 8 out instead of delta 9 with is the weed type. The 2 are very similar in chemical structure. Give it a google delta 8 vs delta 9
I would bet that the drug test will indicate any form of thc in the system...whether it's d8 or d9. Couldn't say for sure, tho.

Im not sure but just a normal like strip test seems like you would fail. But if it goes to the gc/ms it doesnt test for the 8 only 9. But i need to know for sure due to my job

Delta 8 may just have very small amout of thc like hemp

I would try to find an online cannabis forum. There are people there that are much more knowledgeable for this specific thing. Just google cannabis forum and several will come up.
