Hell, I dunno... Hash oil seems like an extra step - separate the hash, make into oil/vape/whatever. I like the RSO approach of extracting the THC/CBD directly from the plant and would like to know of similar approaches for making vaping liquid. The vape kit I linked to does similar in the extraction process but I ask here since this is still a gray area to me. I'm all for easy so whichever method gets me back to my lounge chair the quickest wins!
I am searching for RSO. But have no idea what it is.
Hasho oil involves butane. Or actually alcohol of 100 percent.

RSO = Rick Simpson oil best made with 190 proof alcohol. He used naphtha and such but everlear is more friendly when you don't boil off 100% of it. It makes a black tar of thc/cbd commonly sucked into a syringe and used a drop at a time. Very potent for medical purposes. My pain gets quite sucky and never leaves.
O yea thats what I was talking about to. I no there is another alcohol that can be used. I think ethanol. I used butane. I have made alot of this but need to perfect it. I have enough errors in my work that I have a general idea of what the best way would be to boil of the alcohol. I used a flame once even though it is not advized. I mini explosion happened. There was a huge scale explosion recetnly that one guy got a bunch of years in jail. I think that butaning the weed right into a pot that is in hot water is the best method. 1. because there is no flame so no explosion. 2. the quicker you boil off the solvent the better the taste and result. Where would you like to talk about methods. right on here? or in pm?
Other methods include vacuum purges and other devices that are more advanced but actually expand the volum of the product and get more of the air bubbles out.
They recently changed the name i believe to rick simpson oil. which is why I was confused.
I believe the only difference between the oil I am talking about and RSO. Is the amount of CBD in the porduct. Meaning the type of plant used. So it is the same process just a different amount of THC and CBD in the product.

I pretty much have working ideas for the RSO method even though I'm thinking about a distiller to recover the alcohol. I hadn't considered a vacuum method but I can see some possibilities there as I do have a choice of vacuum devices related to my work which are now doing nothing.
Back to the original topic though, is whether there is a step to use RSO in a vaporizer or what methods folks here use to go from bud to vape.

I don't know if I tried the oil in a vape. I honestly forgot. I no I have used the oil in a GPEN. If that is a vape. If so then there is nothing that you would have to do. You can just put the oil in the pen and smoke. If you are talking about a box vape. I believe it would be fine. But the Gpens hit crazy, those are nice and get you BAKED.
I never heard of recovering the alcohol. That would be good for saving money.
You would vaccum purge the oil after cooking the oil to get the shit out. It makes the oil puff up like 3x the size. It shrinks back down a little but increases volume greatly.

I may have this sorted out - I was looking to make a vape friendly oil which is typically thinner like water. But I just ordered a GPen you mentioned which eliminates the whole process I was trying to figure out. I'll give that a whirl.
I see that the vape "liquid" is super thin. Like the profilled ones you can by. But the GPEN is amazing. You will be very very happy with it. They are so nice too very fancy and durable. It is alot heavier then it looks too. It has a nice grip to it also. Diesel hits. Have fun with it.
Garden is looking fantastic.
Flowering Tent: Buds are forming and getting bigger. I had to tie down many of the branches because its getting too close to LED light. I don't want to trim/top off because its in flowering stage.
Vegging Tent: Still a cluster fuck but that's ok for now. I decided to just keep all of my clones/starter plants....this gives me a chance to experiment (super crop, topping, FIM'ing along with LST (low stress training). Couple have died which was kinda good. Some are tied up like bonsai plants.
I really like how the flash on my phone camera flushes out the LED light and gives colorful pic

everclear is not 190 proof anymore. I think all hard liquor is below 100 proof now days. moonshine which should be 190 proof is around 70 to 80 proof now days.

It shows 190 on the bottle - unless the scale has changed like F1 tornados being different than a fucking EF1. I found the GPen is cool as shit though so I'll be exploring that for now! Works perfectly for my needs.
