Also jobs are a huge issue up there. Not nearly as many and don't pay nearly as much.

OKLAHOMA : Sub-human medical treatment, tornados, harsh drug laws ,Police state/ DUI checkpoints, tornados, trashy toothless redneck chicks , stupid ignorant redneck men , tornado's , Planet Venus-like heat , poverty wages (right to work state) , just poverty period ....

OGH ain't kidding about the wages tho. I suppose it's all in what you do. If you live up there better think twice about changing jobs. Cuz their aren't many.
When that tornado killed all those school aged kids. Kids about the age of my own. It broke my damn heart. I was up their as part of the relief effort. My company donated alot of supplies and it took a while for OKC to come back from that.
We get tornadoes in TX too but in my location it's known as relatively rare. Oklahoma is a breeding ground for those damn things. And it's a pretty helpless feeling knowing your kids are at school and you couldn't do a damn thing to help them even under the best circumstances.
Based on that alone my wife is completely against OK
I dont want to piss-off a bunch of Okies , because I am one , sort of , lol . I just harbor some very bitter feelings against the state . I cant go too deep into it , I'll just say some really good people died because of that states incompetence....

I'd really like to live around Gatlinburg, TN in the Smoky Mountains. But seeing how my family and my Wife's family all live here I don't see my Wife moving.

Isnt it funny how even though we are all from different places in the US , we share alot of the same places ? I dont know exactly where Trukker is or Odie but Ive probably been there (especially if its Texas) . Same w/ OK . Just a short chat w/ Boiler and we were talking about the same places ....

yea...funny like that describes it best.. One time wife had one of her college friends over...first time I met her.. half way thru the nite we were talking about childhood stuff.. I brought up how one day when I came home from school and seen a bunch of ambulance across the street..i said the stupid babysitter didn't watch the kids close enough and the 2 year old boy drowned...This girl teared all up and asked me if I lived off Cambridge..i said ummm yea...she started crying .. it was her and her brother that this person was watching , her brother drowned.. I will never forget that moment..the world itself can be a small place...I mean what are the chances of that happening and then years later actually bringing it up to a friend of my wifes from college, not to mention at college was a totally different state they met... seriously wild...
