•FEMALE LOG/ANAVAR•

No one as mentioned it but... be careful adding that much weight on the mainlift in a short time span. It's easy to injury yourself and put shit load of strain on tendons and ligaments.
Sometime is better to no go for PR all day long. It's asking for trouble :)
Just my 2cents.

I appreciate your input.
I try to be really careful and make sure I can squat with proper form a few reps (5-10) I don't try to go for 1 rep PR as it can be more weight than I can handle.
I also wrap my knees (idk how you guys feel about it) but it does give a little more support to those joint.
One of the trainers at my gym came up and told me to not get used to squatting w knee wraps bc my tendons and ligaments were gonna get weak. I disagreed with him bc they are still being worked and they continue to get stronger. The just have more support to prevent injury.
Anyway, I've been using a linear progression in my squats so I will only add 5-10 lbs each week and squat that weight 3 days of the week before moving to heavier weight.
Seems to be working.
However, just as a precaution I am going to stay in the box from now on and not take my squats to failure.

Interested in what kind of wraps you use as it does make a difference to squat technique depending on what you use. Wraps or no wraps doesn't matter for ligaments or tendons unless you still use fitness education books from the 70s and 80s.

I would have disagreed with him to a point as well...

There is kind of two schools of thought on wraps imo. I think it's better to go without wraps when under 80% or so of max if possible. I rarely wrap my knees unless I'm going for a max effort set. I like wraps for the rebound effect of the stretchy material when coming outta the box. With that said, I do use sleeves because they make my knees more comfortable and my knees have seen some abuse over the years from lifting. They are not as heavy and hold my knee together slightly different than wraps.

I read that it's not good to use wraps unless going 80% of your max or higher because of the rubbing it causes between the patella and the joint and it can wear it away faster. Sleeves don't cause this as much so it's more tolerable to wear more often. I stopped wrapping for every set and now only do it on heavy sets. I feel like my knees have more stability and strength now.

I like to use the wraps when I squat. They make my knee feel sturdy and just very comfortable.
I don't actually wrap on the knee per se. I wrap above the knee, pass the wrap behind it and wrap below my knee caps.

My knee sleeves I like to wear them when I leg press or deadlift. They are comfy and even though they don't offer as much support as the knee wraps they add just an extra touch to the lift that makes it a lot more comfortable and to an extent "easier".

I don't consider using them cheating as others would argue. I'll go above and beyond to make sure my knees get whatever extra help they need. I've seen a lot of knee problems in my family and I just rather play it safe.

Also, I don't know if it matters but I don't take my squats ass to grass. I go a little under 90 degrees but never too low. I don't find it safe for knees or lower back. Plus, I feel like my hip socket structure makes it very difficult for me to go so low.

That's interesting.
I don't place the wrap ON my knees, rather on top and below my knee cap. The range of motion feels better that way as opposed to wrapping the whole thing.

It's not about wrapping the knee, it happens even when properly wrapped following the 2 inch rule abover and below the knée cap. It's something about the fact that patella doesn't move around as freely as when unwrapped. This causes the bone to have constant rubbing on it and wears it down quicker. I'll see if I can find that study

that's what I always figured and have done too

From my understanding she isn't even wrapping. The petella but instead solely pinning the quadricep head to her femur and her petellar ligemant to her shin giving her added bracing support for her tendons and ligaments. Also the whole wrapping the petella causes knee issues is not that frequent at all there are tons and tons of people using wraps for daily training in powerlifting and there is no reason why a heavier weight would cause less patella sheer then lighter weight.

I use wraps personally for everything as it is far to labour intensive to put on wraps regularly lol

It's so interesting how everyone has their own understanding and way of doing things.
I honestly don't have enough knowledge or scientific evidence to say what I do it's the best way to do it. It's only my simple and humble experience. And it's something that works for me and what I feel comfortable with.
The same goes with belts. Some people tell me not to use a belt unless I'm doing ridiculously heavy. Well, I use the belt for anything over 135 bc I have 3 bulging discs and I like the extra support.
"Oh, your core is gonna get weak". No, I dedicate 2 days a week to work on my core only.
So at the end of the day, if you're doing something that is not hurting you and giving you results, why stop doing it.

There are people at my gym who get bent outta shape when talking about this subject.
I'm like dude chill. Less chatty more lifty

Thank you love!
How was your vacation? Hope you had lots of fun.
Are you excited to start your cycle?!! Your debut is tmw right?
I'm also very curious to find out what gains I can make at such a low dose. But with these stuff a tiny little bit goes a long way.
I'm busting my butt at the gym and it's so nice to see the rewards.
It is fascinating to me how we all react so differently to these compounds. Some women are totally fine running up to 20 mgs. my voice would prob drop 2 octaves at such dose lol
I am def taking a safe and conservative approach.
Maybe I'm just super sensitive right now bc it's the first time my body is exposed to compounds like var? Perhaps in future cycles I can increase the mgs. We'll see.
And thank you so much for the kind words:) I am very motivated and excited to see the "final" product at the end of this cycle. Well, it's never really final bc change is the only constant.

xx

Hey, lady! I finally got back this morning and did start my cycle today! Will write up my first post after dinner. :D Need to play catch up with all the reading I've missed over the last few days. Have you noticed a difference after dropping your dose down?

Hey babe!! I was thinking of you today. Omg I'm so excited you started your cycle today. Yayyyy welcome aboard the var train choo choo:p
So many girls running Anavar right now. It must be the moon. I couldn't find many Anavar journals when I was researching this stuff. It's nice to think out logs will be useful to other females in the future who are considering var.
Anyway, I haven't noticed any negative changes since I dropped the dose. My strength is there, I'm moving up in weight in all of my lifts. I think the worst thing I can report is that I'm not as horny as I was when doing 10 mgs. Lol
Other than that, my skin and face aren't as oily, which is pretty good too bc it was getting annoying.
I'm looking forward to your log:)

Fun fact wearing a proper lifting belt actually increases core engagement as you can brace harder when there is resistance back on you. So you can let the negative nancies that next time they say don't wear a belt.

Really? That's so awesome to know. I always keep my abs tight bc I inhale/retain on my way down and exhale it coming up. It's good to know the belt increases core engagement.
I love my belt so much and it's PINK:p

I'm mirin the gear and loving the perspectives on the issues. I don't use anything personally...mostly because I'm lazy.

Really? Wow that's very impressive.

It is a pain in the ass having to wrap my knees.
Took me forever to learn how to do it.

Thanks, doll! I haven't written my post yet and decided to just wait until after I get in my workout today. Coming soon! Glad to hear you're still going up on your lifts after dropping your dose. That's good! Congrats on your new squat PR. You've jumped up in so much weight on those and your leg presses. Boo to a lower libido, haha. Are you going to try to bump back up to 10mg per day again?

I'm so happy you started your cycle! You're gonna have so much fun. I think the most exciting part was when you realize the steroids kick in. That first time when I could lift with easy what was really difficult at one point, was the best feeling ever.
Increased libido and "love button" (as GG would say) is also pretty awesome.
Anyway, to answer your question if I'm going to increase the dose... Hmmm I'm not sure. Gonna ride it out for another week. If my lifts are still increasing in weight I won't.
I promised myself I was gonna have a very conservative approach to these substances and use the least amount to get the desired results.
I am tempted to raise the dose however, i can see my body changing and the numbers are still going up, no sides, so why push it, you know?
I also plan to have other cycles in the future so I don't need to go ham on this one and get to the limit of undesired effects. Slow and steady wins the race.
I am not in a rush to get all the gains I can in this cycle only.
Plus I really don't wanna risk having this peach fuzz turn to terminal hair bc there is no going back!
xx

I absolutely can't wait to see those strength gains! Glad to hear you're being patient about the process. I can see how it's tempting to want to go up in dosage but I would hate to have the extra hair as a side. No way! Hopefully you will keep making gains on the 5mg per day. That would make for a very cheap cycle.:p

DAY 26

REST DAY

30 mins of HIIT on the stairmaster

ABS-
Leg raises
Cable crunches

2x3-4 pull-ups
First time ever!!! Woot woot.
Felt badass AF
Couple of people were mirin:cool:
Feels good to know in case of an emergency I can lift up myself up to a tree or something. Survival brownie points.

NOTES-
  • Still cruising at 5 mgs daily.
  • My hair and face aren't as oily as they were when I was on 10 mgs
  • No mustache, no beard. only lanugo- very fine blonde hair on face, chest, arms.
  • Strength gains are still there
  • Clit is less sensitive and has returned to normal size (it was a bit more swollen at 10mgs) :( but it's still rocking some pretty good orgasms back to back;)
  • I'm starting to see more vascularity in my lower abs. They are looking a lot leaner. I'm really excited to add Albuterol to this cycle. I can't believe that even while eating almost 50% carbs my BF is decreasing.
  • Energy is still super high, I feel great.
  • My sleep is awesome. I'm sleeping so much, my body craves it.
  • Absolutely love how my legs and glutes are looking.
Very pleased with the way this cycle is going. Sometimes I do get tempted to raise my dose back to 10, especially when I see girls here increasing their dose. What works for some does not work for everyone. Sometimes I think, "well, if I increase the dose I could prob lift a bit heavier and speed up the gains process" but that's where I stop myself and take a reality check.

Are your numbers increasing? yes
Is your body changing? Yes
Are you having less sides? Yes
Are you still making strength gains? Yes
so stay at the dose you're in.
"But I could lift heavier and make even mooore gains" --this is not sprint, it's a marathon! Now shut up and make me a protein shake!!

So my judgment tells me to stick to the least amount of juice that it takes to make steady gains.
This won't be my first and last rodeo. I really need to get in the habit of taking a very conservative approach when it comes to juicing bc when I start dabbling into stronger compounds it will be to my advantage to have a humble mentality and maintain that respect for AAs.
Speaking of, I am already planning my second cycle in August.
Not sure what I'm gonna do with myself during those 12 weeks. It's def gonna be a mind fck. But I will honor my body by giving it a break and allowing it to reestablish homeostasis, bc it's been doing a freaking amazing job lately!
Work hard, rest harder **says the girl sleeping 10-12 hrs**:p Sleep never felt this good!

Well, I think I'm gonna stop rambling now. Have a great night guys❤️
