Wow...that is awesome Devika. ...simple awesome. (It's what your dog on the bed was thinking too, I'm sure)
Awesome work D! 225 deadlift and 225 squats for reps is awesome! I would insist you go for a one
rep max on squats before the cycle ends but i think i remember you saying you have some pre existing back problems, but id bet my last scoop of pre workout that you could hit 275
@Devika you're starting to look like your AVI. Kickass hard body, great pic! I can see the meat on the shoulders, Bi's/Tri's & back!
Thank you so much, insaiyan!
I am very conservative with my lifts bc I don't want to aggravate the 3 bulging discs I have.
I got cortisone injections in my lower back and it really helped with the pain. Sometimes I would my on my back and wouldn't be able to get up without a shooting pain radiating to my glutes.
I'm so scared of going through that again.
However, I may try to go for 250 the last squatting sesh. I'll ask my ex to spot me. I'll be happy to be able to get at least 1. It'll be a good excuse to eat some bagels before my workout
Yeah thats why im not petitioning you to do it, dont wanna fuck the back up. 250 is a safer bet, less likely to aggrivate something. No dount that you're strong enough, but its not worth getting hurt just to stroke your ego. Shit i jacked my back up and was out of commission when i got my 405 squat, i was stoked but it definitely wasnt worth walking around like a grandpa for 2 weeks afterwords
Woah. 405?!!!
You're a beast.
But yea, you gotta be wise when assessing the risk-benefit ratio.
Glad it wasn't anything serious though!
UPDATE
well guys, this amazing cycle is coming to an end. Tomorrow will be the last day
I have really mix feeling about it. I feel sad the strength and muscle gains will slow down, but I'm looking forward to the break.
About 2 days ago, I was doing skull crushers and I must've done something funny to my tris bc it kept hurting. I couldn't finish my workout.
I also squatted 225 lbs that same day and my lower back did not feel right. Sciatica has been bothering me since then. It was a crappy day at the gym.
Yesterday I had a photoshoot and a party. Everyone commented on how great a look. I got a lot of compliments about my ass, so those squats 3x a week definately paid off.
Today I squatted 225 again and it felt much better! It's actually feeling lighter.
Squats looked like this:
1x10 135
1x5 225
1x8 135
1x6 225
1x6 135
1x3 225
1x6 135
I started doing DB shoulder press w 30 lbs DBs. On the 3 rep my tricep gave out and my arm twisted backwards. SCARIEST FUCKING THING!! OMG. I dropped the DB but the pain was terrible. I literally screamed!
I wanted to cry so bad bc I was in pain and I was angry I couldn't do shoulders.
My ex wanted to take me home, but I refused to leave.
Manned up and finished w leg press and leg ext.
I'm gonna give my arm a break for a while. It really hurts. Kinda bummed out bc I won't be able to do any upper body work & I really don't want to aggravate it. Today was super scary.
Will go on the scale tmw and take measurements to assess the final gains of this cycle.
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Weekend
What a rollercoaster! Still sounds like you killed your workout. That is so badass on the squats! Hopefully the var will help your arm recover. I hope you can find a way to post some pics from your shoot. Damn you must look incredible! Anxious to here how you feel coming off cycle. Also can't wait to hear your measurements and gains!

Well Done, Devika. You got fantastic results and have been an enormous asset sharing the detailed info you did along the way. We certainly benefited from it. Thank you so much.
My wife is up even higher in muscle mass and lifts this week, but has had all sorts of joint and ligament pains - and I'm afraid she's on the threshold of having something happen similar to your triceps experience. That said, we're finishing after the next week.
She's got the same mixed feelings as you but is also stoked to do it again after a reset. Will share post cycle experience on my thread and look forward to hear how it goes for you as well.
Again, fantastic job and thanks again for documenting everything so well. Hope you heal up fast!
Devika congratulations on all the gainz made but I would like to remember you that you are walking a on a very thin line between manning up during a workout or being reckless
What happened with your shoulder press it should never happen IMHO. If your tricep is injured you need to take care of it. You could have fucked your arm badly if you were just a bit less lucky.
One of the most amateur thing to do when using AAS is pushing the increase in weight too soon and too hard and ending up injured and in bed for many weeks.
Just think about it for the future. Patience is everything, it takes time and time and even more time to build a killer physique. don't push it. Enjoy every moment but lift smart if you want to keep lifting for the next 20 years and not just for few cycles.
Off to work! Awesome ass btw!
Oh you didn't post any pic... Now you have to! Or my comment doesn't make sense Ahahah
FIRST DAY OFF CYCLE
What a ride!!! I have to say the last 12 weeks were so fun and I loved every step of the way.
This cycle exceeded my expectations.
Things I learned:
Ok, let's talk lifts and numbers.
- There WILL be sides. You just gotta assess the risk-benefit ratio and go from there. Some sides I experienced: clit sensitivity, clit swelling, oily hair & skin, acne, increased vellus hair (including face), increased libido, felt less emotional and detached from feelings, breast atrophy (better have some $ for a boob job!), hair loss.
- EAT to grow. I can't stress this enough. Nutrition HAS to be on point!
- REST. I had a hard time wrapping my head around having a rest day btw training sesh, but honestly, it was the best thing I could've done. I never felt exhausted (maybe toward the end of my cycle); however, for the most part my energy was always pretty high.
- DISCIPLINE IS A MUST. Be ready to bust your ass in and outside of the gym. My training & diet had never been so strict. You'll get out what you put in. Plain and simple.
- YOU CAN TOTALLY BE A VEGETARIAN JUICER!! One of the members once sarcastically commented on my achievements fueled by "eggs and beans", FUCK YEAH!
- Shorter cycles may be more beneficial. I wanted to take a conservative approach to this cycle and I told myself 8 weeks, 10 tops. Got excited and caught up. I decided to extend it to 12 weeks. Truth is, the negative sides such as hair loss, started appearing towards the 9th week. Not to mention the last weeks I just felt tired and my body was ready for a break. Lesson: will keep my future cycles 8-10 weeks long.
Squat went from 135 to 225
Deadlift from 155 to 225
Bench 55 to 85
FINAL MEASUREMENTS
Weight: 112.6 lbs
% BF: 14.25
Lbs of BF: 16.04
Lbs of lean body weight: 96.39
Compared to my initial stats, I-
GAINED 8.36 lbs of lean muscle
LOST 0.93 lbs of BF
LOST 1.91% BF
Speaking of gains... Let's talk inches!
I grew:
Chest 1.5"
Glutes 1.8"
Upper quads 2.2"
Lower quads 1.2"
Arms: 1"
Shoulders: 2"
Voilà!
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for following me in this journey. I really appreciate all the feedback and support you all provided me.
I love you guys
I will report back during this off cycle time. Keep an eye for my boob job log coming soon
