Old guy looking for advice

Hi all. I am new to the site but i have been reading for 4 months. I have a few question.I will give you some back ground info first.I am 49 years old been lift on and off (more off then on) since I was in my early 20s. I am 5'9' current weight 198. I have been working out for the last 4 months and went from 235 pounds down to 198 and 25% body fat. I have had blood work done with my Doc and was told my test. levels are very low in the normal range but she would not tell me exact number. I have read that i should wait till I am at 10% body fat before I go on my first cycle. My strength and energy are terrible but I plug away diet is spot on lots of sleep and rest. the cycle I am thinking of is...
Dbol week 1-4 25 mg per day
test-e week 1-12 500mg per

I would like to start once I get my body fat to under 20% . For 1 to help with the energy and the strength... I have a hard time benching 160 (when I was younger I worked out with 230)
I wasn't sure if I should follow up with pct or start trt after my cycle.

Sorry for the long rant I want to give as much info as possible
 
Anything ending in 0 and max bench, you know theyre lying. But it's okay :) your cycle looks great, very manageable. Never done a test onlyish cycle but I'd imagine you would still want to run an AI at that dose (hope you done some reading on that also). The cycle is pretty mild but you should see huge differences at about weeks 3-5. The comment regarding PCT or TRT is totally up to you, but if it was me at 49 I would definitely do TRT.
 
Thanks for the reply Triton- Not sure what you mean by (Anything ending in 0 and max bench, you know their lying) the bench stats I posted are what I work out with usually 3 set of 8-12. not max weight sorry for the confusion
 
thanks Notits... The trainer at my gym said if my Doc is not willing to start me on trt his doc could help me out. (trainer does know I am going to start a cycle... What about waiting till 10% body fat? would 18- 19 % be ok?
 
Fuck the dbol until future cycles but you need to address your low tes and decide whether you will be able to get doc administered TRT or decide to self trt.....with your age and the fact you already have low test PCT probably wont do shit for you

With a serious hormone imbalance like that you may never be able to get to 10%
These things are a huge piece of the puzzle brother.

No need. I would cover the trt problem first and dial in that e2. Get everything firing good for a while and then play with the dbol (lots of fun)

Usually it's recommended to just run test to see how you react although 25mgs dbol for 4 weeks isn't that much IMO.
If it was me, I'd get your trt squared away before running anything. If you're low t, trt will make you feel better and lift more. It did for me anyway. Then decide about running extra test and other compounds.
 
First of all, I appreciate your honesty. However, why would your doc not give you the actual test results? They're yours, not hers and you are entitled to have a copy.
Are you doing any cardio to get your BF down? You sound like a good candidate for TRT, if your cbc values are in line. I would suggest getting more informed about your blood work and then approach your doc about TRT. If she balks, find a uro.
Also, don't get frustrated about not becoming Arnold over night. Getting in cycle shape is your priority and it takes time. You may find that TRT will fit your goals, but it takes work and time. Good luck.
 
Find an endocrinologist and start trt. Skip the dbol for now. Pin the test 2x weekly changing inj sites. Read as much as u can about AI for next cycle then think about adding more.

I agree. I would wait six months and see what you can accomplish on TRT first. Get down to ~15% bf before blasting. IMO only.
 
Ya greenddog1 if I want the right advice I got to be honest and put it out there.Not sure why she didn't give me the number, I didn't really ask for the spicficts , I was having problems with ED and that is what I wanted to fix at the time, I just figured i would have to live with low test. I didn't even know about trt till I started reading on these forums. This was 2 years ago. I will go back and ask for the tests again
