Onyx Pharmaceuticals

I appreciate the kind words. My gal and I also appreciate your friendship that has gone above and beyond the scope of what friends will do when we've found ourselves in need of a "hand up"(not a hand out, mind you. Big difference). Same goes for @ironwill1951...@Ceymorebuttz...and a few others. You guys make a difference. As far as your other comment goes....in a roundabout way, as you know, I capitalize financially just fine as a result of knowing my way around the Community. I thank you very much, partner.

Yessir, you and your ol' lady T have been true friends to J and myself. It's funny how many of us here on an internet forum end up becoming good friends IRL. I think the camaraderie and struggle and reward of dedicating one's self to this lifestyle creates a very quick and very real bond! It is, to me, the best part of being in the Lift Life.

Great writeups hopefully, all the guys buying raws and thinking about sourcing read this thread

No. But here is the letter:

Great info @Millard Baker !

If I had to guess this Tyler guy is Bostins good friend. And Bostin for a while has been referring people to Daves Species Nutrition products and not asking Dave for anything in return. Dave even admits that Bostin is his biggest referal and has made him a lot of money. I'm sure Dave wants to return the favor to him and help out Bostins friend. This is just my guess, dont quote me on it. But I know Bostin and Dave are close, Bostin was visiting Dave during his shoulder surgeries. And they live close to eachother in Florida.

Palumbo is good friends with Rick Collins too. Collins needs to pull out all the stops to help @musclehead320

I guess we'd have to ask Dave...

Vermont hasnt scheduled any anabolic steroids at all. Doesnt mean they wont charge you for possession still, but I would assume living there, you would have a better chance of beating a possession charge if its not even scheduled.

Philip Goodwin, the guy that co-founded the Onyx Pharmaceuticals UGL with Tyler Bauman aka @musclehead320, pleaded guilty on November 29, 2017. As part of Goodwin's plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend an even longer prison term than recommended for Bauman. Prosecutors agreed to:

15 years / 8 months (188 months) for Goodwin compared to
11 years / 3 months (135 months) for Bauman aka @musclehead320

Baumann's sentencing date may have been rescheduled. It doesn't look good for him. His attorney wanted 60 months but the feds insists they have already essentially granted him a significant downward departure by agreeing to 135 months.

The Government is Already Supporting a Significant Departure from the Applicable

Guidelines Sentencing Range and a Further Departure is Not Warranted. There is no dispute that the accurate guidelines calculation is 188-235 months. The government has already acknowledged that the unique circumstances of Baumann being charged with a criminal copyright charge with a statutory maximum of 20 years and a drug offense for distribution of steroids, combined with his criminal history category, have resulted in him being categorized as a career offender, and resulted a criminal history category of IV. Baumann suggests that the government has blindly applied the relevant guidelines and overstated his culpability. To the contrary, despite the fact that all parties agree that Baumann is as a career offender under the law, in recommending a sentence of 135 months, the government is recommending a sentence at the low-end of the guidelines range for a category III defendant (135-168 months). This is a significant departure, and no further departure is warranted.

Shrewsbury Couple Sentenced for Roles in Counterfeit Steroid Conspiracy
BOSTON – A Shrewsbury couple was sentenced today in federal court in Boston for their respective roles in a far-reaching, multi-million dollar conspiracy to distribute counterfeit steroids throughout the United States.

Tyler Bauman, a/k/a “musclehead320,” 32, was sentenced by U.S. Senior District Court Judge Douglas P. Woodlock to 10 years in prison and three years of supervised release. Kathryn Green, 29, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton to one year and one day in prison and three years of supervised release. In August 2017, Bauman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute counterfeit testosterone, trenbolone, and other steroid compounds; conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit drugs; conspiracy to launder money; possession with intent to distribute controlled substances (steroids); and trafficking in counterfeit drugs. Green pleaded guilty that same month to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. In April 2017, Green and five others were charged for their roles in the conspiracy.

From approximately May 2015 until April 12, 2017, Bauman, Green and their co-conspirators manufactured steroid products made from raw materials that they purchased overseas and marketed as “Onyx” steroids using “Onyx” labels that were also ordered from overseas suppliers. Onyx, now owned by Amgen Inc., is a legitimate pharmaceutical company that does not manufacture steroids.

Bauman had a robust social media following on Instagram and other platforms under the moniker “musclehead320” and derivations of that name. Bauman used the “musclehead320” persona to promote Onyx by claiming to be an “Onyx Sponsored Athlete.” As “musclehead320,” he publicly denied any suggestion that he was directly involved with making or selling Onyx; however, at the same time, he was in fact marketing Onyx injectable steroids through other social media accounts, including Instagram accounts in the name of “onyx_roid” and “onyxpharma.” Through these accounts, Bauman provided customers with email addresses to place orders, received steroid orders, and then communicated with customers via these email addresses.

Bauman directed other members of the conspiracy to ship steroids to customers using the U.S. Postal Service. Customers paid for the steroids via money remitters, such as Western Union and MoneyGram. Bauman then directed other members of the conspiracy to pick up payments at multiple remitter locations using false identifications to attempt to avoid suspicion.

Bauman purchased both the oral steroids (tablets) and the raw materials to manufacture the injectable steroids from overseas suppliers. He also ordered the counterfeit Onyx labeling and packaging from overseas suppliers. The injectable steroids advertised and sold by the members of this conspiracy bore trademarks of Onyx Pharmaceuticals.

Further, Bauman laundered proceeds from the steroid sales through Wicked Tan LLC, a tanning salon located in Beverly, which he and a co-conspirator owned and operated specifically to launder the proceeds of the steroid operation.

Green’s principal roles in the conspiracy were to pay another member of the conspiracy to ship steroids and to collect payments from customers.

United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling; Michael Shea, Acting Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Boston; Raymond Moss, Acting Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service; and Jeffrey Ebersole, Special Agent in Charge of the Food and Drug Administration, Office of Criminal Investigations, New York Field Office, made the announcement. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Amy Harman Burkart and David J. D’Addio of Lelling’s Cybercrime Unit prosecuted the cases.

Absolutely heart breaking. So these poor kids are losing their father for 10 years, and their mother for 1 year. They will spend the next year with neither parent in their lives.

I just keep looking back at how blatant and reckless this guy was and can't help but believe that it at least partially contributed to his downfall. He was just SO careless and arrogant and attention seeking. That's not a line of work to be putting yourself out there trying to be a social media big shot.

Sad ending to the story.

Wonder how much less time it would've been if he had just made up his own lab name instead of ripping off a multi billion dollar company.

At least 10 minor children will likely see at least one of their parents go to prison for 1 to 10+ years in the Onyx Pharma case. Bauman has 2 with Green and 1 with another woman. Green's sister has 3. And Goodwin has 4.

It's significant. The government argued that the multi-billion dollar Amgen (owner of Onxy Pharmaceuticals trademark) was not only an organizational victim but that the counterfeiting was a major public health and safety issue whereas consumers didn't know the steroids were really made by an alleged heroin addict (Philip Goodwin) and not by a legitimate pharmaceutical company:

Being a father I can't imagine. When my son was a newborn I did a very small stay less then 6 months and that shit killed me. The kids are the one that suffer here obviously. While I don't agree the crime fits the punishment at all. He knew like I did what he was doing was illegal and what the price was he would pay if he was caught. But some can sell meth heroine which kills people and get half that or less.

Poor dude .. that's not fair to have to do 10 years for something so small.. you can literally commit murder and get less time or even rape in certain cases .. the US justice system is ass backwards

Dude had a record before this bust...

I feel HORRIBLE for his children, I really do. But this dude was just brazen and wanted to "live the lifestyle". Now his kids and relatives lives are forever altered. Truly a shame.
