Oregon is a decent place to live IMO. There are some really liberal tree huggers out here and too many activist judges, but what can you do. U already know about no sales tax and the high property taxes, but there is a solution. Live in Vancouver, Washington. That way, you can drive the short distance to Oregon and buy expensive items like a car with no sales tax, and live in WA where the property tax is much lower. Works for me anyway.
