PAP(Post Activation Potentiation)

You can convert your fast twitch muscle fibers to slow twitch muscle fibers. There is also two types of fast twtich muscle fibers type 2a and type 2x.

Well low weight high reps will work the slow twitch fibers. The Heavy Weight less reps hits fast twitch muscle fibers.
I like to hit both sometimes, so for example. I'll do my regulate heavy bulking routine, and then I'll end it with 10 sets of 10, starting moderately heavy and dropping in weight each set.
You'll be sore that's forsure.

This is a really good thread franchise, unfortunately I think it may be over most members heads that haven't taken a human physiology class.
The process start to finish of one single muscle fiber contraction is nothing short of a miracle in all honestly.

The write up origanally posted really just scratches the surface on different types of muscle contractions, the different fibers, and the cycle of the myosin head and ATPs involvement in the contraction of muscles.

Thank you. It is a little bit more than most people will study. I'm all about fitness. At some point I will transition back into more functionality in my programing. Getting older and need to preserve my body for as long as I can.

Glad you chimed in and expounded upon the fast and slow twitch muscle fibers.
