No, I bought them from someone on another board. I put one on last night and it was painfully tight, so I'm curious to see what they can do later this week on triple day. I'd like to see 500-525x3 @9 out of them.

Need some opinions, fellas.

Going out of town for a concert this weekend. Six hour drive, so I'll be leaving early in the afternoon tomorrow and coming home Sunday evening.

Tonight I have scheduled:
Comp bench 5x5
Box squats 1x3 with back off sets
Overhead press 1x7 + 4x5

Saturday I was supposed to have
Comp squat 1x3 with back off sets
Stiff legged deadlift singles
Hack squat 5x7

Can't make Saturday, so how should I set this up?

Do today as planned and do Saturday on Monday and then work my schedule back over the next week.

Or

Do comp squat 1x3 tonight with 5x5 bench after and then do next week as planned?

Or

Something else?

The original plan was to leave Saturday and I was going to lift today and tomorrow and get everything in. Got an email yesterday from the ticket seller that we have to be there by 3:15pm Saturday (2:15pm our time) because we have meet and greet tickets. So I have nothing packed, car isn't ready, nothing and have to do all that tonight, too. Also borrowed a truck yesterday to haul off a couch and it got too late to do anything with it, so I have to take care of that today, too. And I'd like to pull a wheel and tire off my other car because my spare is flat and one of my tires is pretty dry rotted. Might just swap all four for the weekend since the ones on my other car actually hold air and my daily driver needs air daily. Brakes are out on the other or I'd just take it. Also running on five hours of sleep last night.

So yeah, need to figure out the best way to go about this. I'm leaning towards doing comp squat and bench tonight, skipping my third movement, taking care of the couch, tires and packing and then trying to get to bed at a decent time. Then pick things back up normally next week. Or maybe do tonight as planned and then repeat this week next week. Just don't want to miss a heavy squat day. That might be the best idea really so i could do my heavy squat day under ideal conditions.

If you don't have any meets on the recent horizon then I wouldn't sweat it.

Do your comp bench and box squats today and try and make some time tomorrow. If not then just scrap the workou and resume as normal next week.

Next meet is mid September, official prep begins in two weeks. There will be zero time tomorrow or over the weekend for anything.

I'd just skip it then. Or do comp bench and comp squats today and skip box squats.

this is what i was going to suggest. comp squats and comp bench today and drop all of the other fluff/auxiliary stuff

218lbs

Comp deadlift 425x5, 450x5, 475x5, 475x5, 475x5
Double paused bench 275lbs 5x5
Deadlift to the knees 405x5, 365x5, 365x5, 365x5

Been out of the gym a week besides testing those knee wraps last Thursday. Hated them, by the way. Got zero out of them as they're all stopping power and no rebound. Made a lot of poor decisions last weekend and this weekend, but getting back on track starting today. Still weak as a kitten on deadlift unfortunately. Bench felt about the same. Diet has been absolute garbage from Friday until yesterday. Back on track with that as of today.

Had a great weekend and the concert was the best either of us had ever been to. Got a lot on my mind about that whole situation though.

Also on a whim yesterday I've accelerated this whole CDL thing. Should be starting training on the 19th, so I'll be quitting my job next Friday. Just need to put a grand down before then and I'm in. That'll last two months. Being able to do a meet this year is up in the air at this point. It'll just depend where I'm at financially when the time comes and if I land a job right away and the nature of that job. I'm going to train as if I'm doing it though and see what happens.

Got what I need for this meet prep cycle and that'll start on schedule. Going to kick it off with some drol and hopefully that'll get my strength back up quickly. Not working for two months while going to school should help with strength, too.

Good luck on CDL school and hope it all works out for you. You should work on getting the connections so that you can get a job lined up once you successfully complete the course and getting your CDL license. You should be stoked enough to be able to get your lifts back up there.

Keep your eyes on the prize!

Sorry to hear that those wraps didn't work for you and hopefully you'll get a set that does.

The Lillibridge wraps will be exactly what you are looking for.

Glad you had a good time at the concert, brother! And congrats on deciding to go through with the job change.

You're still miles ahead of me on the deadlift, so don't feel too bad about that lol
