Pre Cycle Bloods Low T

Got my bloodwork back today. I've been thinking about and researching TRT for several months without even knowing my levels but I have had a nagging suspicion that I am low. I came back at 265 T which is even lower than I thought i was going to be.

I was going to run my first cycle after finishing my diet but I've been struggling with it. I'm 35, have ran keto diets successfully in the past and have been lifting consistently for 4 years.

Now I am planning on starting off with 200mg per week for the next 8 weeks to finish up the diet then bulk up for 15 weeks at 500mg per week, then drop back down to a TRT dose. Will post bloods again in 6 weeks.

If anything stands out about my bloodwork I would appreciate any insight or opinions anyone might have. Thanks.

Some doc’s will be on the fence at 260. May start you on cream and try to Monitor closely making it hard to blast. If you do find one though the LBGT community. They seem to hand out injectable Scrpits more.

At the age of 35 you still have a chance to recover. If that’s your choice. Maybe some research into HCG will help. Which ever you’re decision is good luck

To answer a few questions,

Will TRT be through a doc or self prescribed?

Self prescribed for now.

My low T is not a result of ASIH, I've never cycled. At my age is HCG really a viable option? What kind of results and for how long will I see those results? If we're talking 100-200 ng/dl increase while at my age my levels would likely continue to decrease I'm skeptical at best but still open to the idea.

What time did you pull these bloods?

8am though that might be taken a bit out of context. I work nights. I woke up around 630pm, had a meal, then drank only water all night at work until going in at 8am for bloods

I think after 30’levels naturally decline no matter if you’ve used or not in past .. 35 most definitely .. it should be a no brainer at 35 and beyond every male should be using 100-200 mgs a week test to keep levels normal range .... literally zero and I mean zero side effects from that low of a dosage even if you were going to use for 40+ years .. I’d say even 300-400 mgs a week same no sides nothing but benefits

I agree with heavylifer, but there is a cap. I’m 39 and cycle with recovery numbers just under 600 so I don’t think it’s for me, but I will say I think about becoming a possible soon. You’ll need to what your numbers to keep it around or just below the 1000 range. Seems to me you’ve already done your research and know what you’re dealing with.

I was surprised at my results, I was expecting 300-400. I know this is a life altering choice, but my first reaction is that living with 265 T (and likely continuing to decline) is less desirable than pinning the rest of my life.

Mind is going in a million directions right now.

Do you have kids?

Not sure I agree with this. 400mgs a week is not TRT. 300-400mgs for life will cause problems.

Never said 400 was trt .... 100-200 is TRT but there has never been any evidence of 300/400 doing anything negative . They were short term studies but still considered that a low dose ..

6 week bloods at 200mg per week split tues/sat. Blood pulled 51 hours after last pin.

Also taking 6.25mg Aromasin tues/sat.

Thats a good number for trt i guess...but not for a cycle.
Lets say if you take 400 mg x week split. If we follow those TT number it will put you aroun 2500 at most .. i dont think those are good numbers for a cycle.
May be im use to see 4000+- TT on a 400-500 mg.
Also 51 hours after last pin is a bit late.
Personally i always do between 30-38 hours after pin.

I’m not sure but his dosage suggests that’s it’s a cruise dose. But at least we know he’s got his Estrogen in check.

One thing to think about--which bit late now--would have been to talk with a doc after your initial results to get onto Rx TRT. It would have likely made things easier from here. Seems like more doc's are recognizing the need and your levels were pretty low. I have a friend who went into a different doc from mine a couple weeks back and was helped out with levels at 319 without much hesitation.

I started TRT just over 12 months ago and has proven hands down the best change in my adult life. Feeling the difference, I know I was likely low for years. Maybe since my early idiotic 20's when I ended a cycle without proper PCT after a sports injury. I was laid up for a couple months and never regained my fitness level from there. Add in grad school, work, kids, couple wives--and life just whirls by. Now mid-40's and seeing the huge increase in my fitness, overall health and enjoyment of life and while I am super proud of myself for the changes that I can see and feel--also beside myself for waiting as long as I did to be more proactive.

For my life--best decision in years, hands down. Nice added bonus, if you are someone who decides to augment the treatment level, it is easier to return to your therapeutic levels before testing with your doc without putting yourself into a complete tailspin crash. If your levels were low before, they certainly will be now when you stop taking your dosage. The normal PCT to kickstart your natural levels may not do anything depending on why your were low to start with. You likely prefer not to stroll into your doc's office asking for TRT with a self-administered elevated T level. So if you want to get legitimate medical treatment, it almost seems you have to let yourself come off before seeing the doc, which wont be the end of the world by any means, but will be a couple weeks of feeling lethargic.

An additional bonus is if you have decent insurance--much of your treatment could be covered. Luckily my wife has great benefits, so my TRT runs me about $36 for a 10ml bottle of Watson, Perigo or Sun Test C, with sufficient needles/bodies for draw and injection 2x a week. My Rx dose is 160mg a week, so the $36 is for roughly 3 months worth. I'm all for individuals doing what they want to try and improve themselves, whether for aesthetics, performance or simple quality of life. Test and the other options out there can clearly help with all the above if done properly, and with quality products. That said, if you are naturally low, to the point you are undertaking self-help, also owe it to yourself to see what a doc can help you with along the way.

Good luck and enjoy the positive changes a good diet, exercise and hormones yield.

The last quote was from the "Meso Bloodwork Testing Protocol", is 3 hours a big deal with a long ester?
No 3 hrs won't make or break the test. Those test numbers are a little high for trt long term imo. Are you still on 200mg a week atm?
