Yup - they never played any real teams and got their asses handed to them when they finally played one. As much as I hate Bama, I can’t talk trash about them because even if they have a weak conference schedule, they generally prove themselves in the big one.

When Oregon is good, they pull talent from California. There is no high school football talent in Oregon. Like Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, etc. They pull their talent from Ohio and Pennsylvania. And while USC has been down recently due to sanctions, Oregon has recruited California well.

USC is not only the best program historically in the PAC 12, but among the best in the country. Really the only PAC 12 program with any national relevance. Recent history maybe not, Oregon’s program has been solid while USC has been down. We’ll see if the Ducks have any staying power, although they haven’t won anything yet.
