Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

Another rest day. Got like 12 hours of sleep and that was much needed. Coworker had foot surgeryand is out for 6 weeks so im working everyday which requires me to wake up at like 5:30-6 everyday to get to the gym and get other errands and chorse done before work so i have just been exhausted. However, i am looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow, definitely grateful for the rest but i need to touch some weights haha.

Man, my GF has a 15 year old daughter. I thought a 13 year old son was bad? OMFG the bathrooms, yes plural! She messes one up and on to the next.

Man they are my little homies and shit but they are dirty! Im movin at the end of the month and ima miss em, but im looking forward to getting away from the mess. If its just me in a bathroom i rarely ever have to clean it other than a quick toilet scrub but with these kids i gotta deep clean like every week lol

One time when one of my ex's and I were living together, I opened up the mirror cabinet and her weave flew out at me. Thought it was a bat, or a demon furby. Either way it was pre army LC, and I almost died.

Monday workout finally!

1.squat 5x5 195lb
2.bench 4x8 145lb
3.deadlift 3x5 260lb
4.behind the neck press 3x8 70lb
5.shrugs 4x12 205lb
6.double bicep pose cable curls 3x12 20lb
7.seated calf raises 3x15 plate per side

Everything moved easy. Fucking totally fucking full of energy as one of my regular customers was getting rid of a van and is gonna sell it to me for $100 bucks. Was just gonna give it to me but i insisted on giving him something for it. Mab its about time i caught a break and im so fuckin grateful right now, especially since its starting to get into the shitty rainy cold season.
Weighed in at 278lb so weight hasnt really moved since last week but i feel like i look a little leaner, seeing veins a little more clearly and better muscle definition so im happy.
 
Tuesday workout

1.powerclea 10x3 95lb
2.bent over row 4x6 135lb
3.lat pulldown 4x7 140lb
4.tri push down 3x6 95lb
5.cable low to high 3x12 20lb
6.rear delr flys 3x12 20lb
7.side laterals 3x12 20lb

So i wanna buy new shoes cuz...well..because i deserve to give myself something nice haha. However, it needs to be somethkng practical so i dont start questioning it once i spend the money after its gone. So i was thinking about ordering some custom chuck taylors cuz i think i remember seeing @Perrin Aybara and @RodgerThat saying chucks were a pretty good shoe for powerlifting.

I prefer just doing deads/squats in just socks but im pretty sure that isnt gonna fly at my new gym so this seemed like a good time to get me some decent lifting shoes as well as treat myself a little haha

Having seen your style of lifting I'd definitely say you are a slat shoe lifter anything with a heal for your squat won't help so chucks are a very good option definitely one of the best for deadlift as well only better I've found is the sabo deadlift shoe (if you are a size 43 euro I'll ship you a pair I was given that are too big but I think your feet at large hen 10.5? Seriously hit me up if you are that size though cause they are just collecting dust). Also I think every great lifter has set foot in a pair of chucks for some time so if ou wanna be great you need some chucks

Well i do appreciate the offer but yeah, i wear a 13 (47 eur) hahah. I was looking at actual deadlifting shoes but i kind of wanting something that is not only functional, but also something i can just wear for doin whatever so it sounds like chucks it is

Figured you were a larger footed animal then most but wanted to toss it out since I haven't touched them in 6months. Chucks are solid man I'm wearing chucks to the gym 2/5 days usually still and I have lots of different specific lifting shoes but some times chucks is all I want and I can go from riding a motorcycle to the gym to the bar in chucks what other shoe can to that!

Thats the kind of versatility im looking for! I can worry about more specific shoes when i get a bit more advanced but for the time being it seems the chucks will suit my needs quite satisfactorily.
