Finaly recieved pack. Ive been on here talking about slow shipping and fucked up tracking for a bit......and im not changing my rant shipping is fucked Ive seen some things that downright scared me on the tracking I even thought I was fucked for a second (not from panda) but pack arrived. Pandarep is right dont even look at the tracking in these times you will go nuts but you pack will Arrive dont stress too much over the fucked tracking right now

How'd you enjoy US customs tracking. That's why I'm done with ordering anymore China until we fire these assholes at US customs. Especially since every pack that did make it was cut open, the stealth didn't do dick, I could see the razor knife slicing through it like butter and I either had customs inspection tape slapped on it or FDA written on the side of the box.

Video taping opening the box to me seems like a really bad idea. Considering the the royal pain in the ass it currently is to get raws from China right now, the customs inspections, and risks. If you are shy a few grams you're going to say, "fuck it" after watching for the past 45 days as your box sits in customs for 20 days getting molested and sodomized.

If you do this I would suggest you do it with a digital camera with an SD card so you can reformat the SD card when you're done to make sure there's no trace left of the video. I wouldn't do it with my phone as you'll never know for sure if it's completely deleted. I never trust anything with a hard drive unless I wipe the OS, overwrite the drive with 0's and 1's and then load the new OS. So phones are worthless in this regard.

Really though you should never do this. I mean you're filming yourself commit a felony. This is the definition of dumb.

If i ever feel the need to videotape an unboxing, i'll be doing so completely naked. Panning the camera down every so often so that if i do need to send it to the source they'll be forced to see my junk.

Even if i don't get a resolution to my issue, the source will get a repeated eyeful that they will never be able to unsee.

PPL claims they film themselves packing their products so there's no way you can claim underweight or missing items. However do they really do this, seems dumb and what would keep them from opening the package out of view of the camera and removing your items and repacking it.

I have never, but if I did I wouldn't show myself just the box and hands etc... I agree it is kinda dumb. Since they can chose to say it appeared opened. Let's go to the replay and make sure. And we can disagee for days. In the end test your shit and post it. Video or not proof is in the pudding whether they say "those are not our Raws....." etc... Proof proof proof

No, that's not what I asked. Has anyone ever gotten a resolution from an issue due to them sending in a video of the unpackaging?

To your point, no one is expecting perfection from PPL - that's absurd. Hell, I have gotten quite a substantial amount of free raws over mistakes so it wouldn't break my heart if screwups happen more often. I'm just wondering if unpackaging videos have ever resolved anything.

So since this a big blow up take this as a PSA...
Video tap the unboxing, every time. It protects you.
I've never had a pack come to me that I didn't video. Doesn't matter if its $100 or $5000, film it.
Buy a $30 infrared thermometer. While it's not 100% accurate, you can melt test to identify a compound, or I should say confirm it. If you don't have thermometer, you probably shouldn't be brewing anyway.

I've had him correct an issue based off a series of photos, but no video. The pics were taken at face value along with my word, presumably because we've had business for a while to that point. Solid move on his part imo.

We also consider the person. On the forums if it's someone that been around for years , the odds are he's not trying to rip you off. In the short time I've been a rep, I'm freaking blown away at the level people try to scam. Some of the customers are just as shady as some of the sources.
