Exactly. You can dial the temp in very granular steps. What I did when I was brewing was pretty straight forward. Use tin foil and form a small attachment for the end of the iron. Make a place to put the raw in line with the end of the iron, the hottest part. Dial in the iron to a temp lower than your target melting point and slowly raise the temp. As you increase degree by degree you will find the accurate melting point, within reason.do you mean a digital soldering station? I think it s a great idea

Lol, when you said tinfoil, I thought you were messing with him at first. I honestly didn’t even know they had digital soldering irons.Digital soldier iron. Very accurate, easy to make a tinfoil attachment for the raw

So an iron is not something that naturally wants to hold powder as you can see from the attached pic. Thanks man, so i have to wrap the tip of the iron solder with aluminium foil and make a sort of little drill shaped end to warm the raw?
Sorry if a ask why you need that aluminium foil shaped drill attached to the solder.. ? It will have a lower temperature won’t it? Or it will have and you need an infrared temperature?
Anyone had their package get past customs and sit in the us after first movement for over a week??

Yeah it's already processed through two locations in the US but now hasn't changed in over a weekYeah I’ve had ones show as “processed through facility” and then sit for a couple of days before hitting the next actual PO that will relay it further. Recently things have been moving pretty normal for me though, maybe they missed a scan.
Delays all over the place given recent events is understandable. One of mine still hasn’t shipped and it’s been almost 2 weeks of “preparing package”.
Wickr me your trackingYeah it's already processed through two locations in the US but now hasn't changed in over a week
Thanks man for this advice... just bought the solderThe tip of the iron is where the heat transfer takes place. The tip is generally 1" to 1.5" in length
Also have some mk677 that is like a brown color. All other was pure white.
My pack showed up today, 3 weeks exactly. I apologize for being a pain @PandaRep but the tracking must drive everyone crazy. I was checking the tracking every day and it said not picked up then this morning it said out for delivery so weird. So yeah I was thinking my pack was sitting in the warehouse waiting to be picked up but it was moving all along.
