Putting up big ass numbers

Weight today was 208.2

Workout was,

2x2 squats @ 565lbs
4x15 calf raises
4x15 preacher curls

Squats moved pretty decent. Not too rough.

Forgot to post last weeks workout. I basically worked up to a single of 385 (new pr) then did a few triples at 315, some skull crushers and tricep pulldowns

Weight today was 205.2

Workout was,

1x2 paused bench @ 380lbs
1x3 paused bench @ 345lbs
3x5 floor presses @ 335lbs
3x15 tricep pushdowms

I wasn't feeling the greatest today. I only got a few hours of sleep tonight and I've been cutting back my calories a bit. So I'm pretty glad i got both of my reps without having to grind too much. The second one was a bit slow, but I'm sure I probably had another one in me if i really wanted to push it.

Snapchat-1344781592.jpg Weight today was 205.0

Workout was,

1x2 deadlifts @ 605lbs
2x3 deadlifts @ 495lbs
3x12 lat pulldowns
3x12 seated cable rows
4x15 reverse flies
3x12 db curls

Well, officially a real 600+ deadlifter now. It was a little more rough than i was hoping for, but i was feeling a bit off. 495 wasn't particularly fast, and 545 was a bit slower than it should have been. Could be fatigue, could be the lowered calories, could have just been an off day, who knows.

Anyways, at least i got a nice trophy to go along with my new pr

Workout was,

Top set paused bench single @ 395lbs (PR)
2x5 paused bench @ 315lbs
3x5 floor presses
3x8 skull crushers
4x12 preacher curls

Skipped squats yesterday. I was feeling a bit stiff when i wokeup in the morning so i decided to take a rest day and work on a bathroom remodel I'm doing at a property i just bought. Been working on it a few days now and just about have it done. It's sucked balls so the next tenants better appreciate it. Ha.

Ended up waking up today feeling pretty fresh so said fuck it and hit a new pr on bench. Was a little more rough than i was hoping for. I think i can still probably squeak out 405 though.

This bathroom sucked. Whoever did it had a bathtub up against a slanted wall. The woman was just not having it at all. She said it NEEDED to have a shower in it, but there wasn't really any easy way to put a shower in because you would have to rip everything apart and redo the plumbing and floors also. Eventually she won the arguement and i did my first ever bathroom remodel. Lol. This is it about 80% done. Still have a few finishing touches and some cleaning to do.20181101_193421.jpg

Weight today was 206.8

Workout was

3x1 squats w/ wraps @ 545lbs
2x3 squats w/ sleeves @ 455lbs
3x8 hammer curls
4x12 preacher curls

Thinking 545 will be my opener.

Probably should've done this awhile ago. But i just put in an order for a powerlifting singlet, a nice lever belt, wrist wraps, and nose tork. I'm almost a real powerlifter now. Ha.

Also, i think for this competition i might just compete in the 220's. Being my first real comp i decided i might as well just come in at my regular weight and smoke some big prs then cut weight and potentially not feel 100% at the meet. Plus in the 198 class there is a dude squatting basically 800, and a guy squatting and deadlifting 700+. Lol. The 220 class is shit so I'll probably win that class anyways. Lol.

What was the price tag on the remodel? Been looking at that stuff at Lowe's and the price can grow quickly. Do you use a big store like that or have you been able to shop around and find better prices?

Tub was $100, 5 cases of tile at $20 each, vanity was $130, the waterproof vinyl was $1 sq.ft. cant remember how much a box, but i used three boxes. i think i spent about $30 on lumber and maybe $30 on plumbing stuff. Then paint, grout, thinset, wall texture, etc. I would say i probably spent a good $550 on it. I usually buy whatever i can off Facebook like the tub, vanity, tiles, flooring. That cuts the cost in half right there.

That's the more updated picture. Shows everything minus the stairs i built to help step into the shower. And a 3'x3' shelf i built against the wall.

That's awesome. Is it cheaper to buy lumber at a lumber yard than at a big box store? Even if you're just getting a couple of pieces?

I haven't noticed really much of a difference in price. The one lumber yard by my place is a bit cheaper and they will cut everything to size for me ahead of time. The only real difference i noticed is their wood is usually a noticeable amount better in terms of quality. When i go to menards to buy wood of a sinilar price its always warped to shit so when you're trying to build something like a shelf that needs to be perfectly straight it's a lain in the ass because you need to clamp the shit out of it to pull out the gaps. Whereas the stuff at the lumber yard i can usually slap it together without any noticeable gaps so it saves a decent amount of time that way and more often than not looks better

Good info, thanks.

2x3 paused bench @ 315lbs

Thinking 345 will probably be my opener. I'll probably hit that and 375 because i know i should smoke that. Then I'll tell them to load up 405. Ha.

I know you didn't ask me, but since I've recently taken up some light carpentry/wood projects in the last year or two I feel inclined to speak up.

Like he said, you're going to get better wood from a lumber yard. I wouldn't bother with a big box store for anything really. Unless you want to plane all of your wood. But I'm very meticulous about my projects. Maybe I'll post up some pics of my latest one once it's done. Dining room table for my mom for xmas.

Weight today was 207.2

Workout was

Squat single w/ wraps @ 545lbs
2x3 high bar squats w/ sleeves @ 455lbs
3x13 preacher curls
3x12 db curls

I wanted to work up to a bit heavier single, but my back is still a bit fatigued from the deadlifts last Wednesday. Lol. Apparently they were a little harder than i thought. So i ended up just hitting 545 and called it good.

Weight yesterday was 205.8

Workout was,

2x1 2ct paused bench @ 365lbs
2x5 2ct paused bench @ 315lbs
3x20 hammer curls
3x20 tricep pushdowns

Had some guys admiring me quite a bit last night. Lol. They were just fascinated with how easy I moved 365. Not going to lie, it definitely made me feel pretty good. Lol. Trying to graduate into being more of an elite class lifter i see people my size benching around 450 and it makes me feel weak. Sometimes I forget most people cant even imagine putting up a 2x bodyweight bench.
