qingdao declared a very low value (for a bluetooth speaker ) so there was no vat, customs didn't inspect the parcel either. In my country every parcel from outside the eu gets 6€ handling fees on top, our government wants to stop orders from cheap chinese shops that way ... But yes some luck is always involved with orders from outside the eu.
