Okay, so let's say you hop on eBay and find a Lambo, you find it for sale for $200k. You think "gee, that's a pretty reasonable price, and it has low miles too". You reach out to the seller of the Lambo and say to him: "I've never found such a low mileage Lambo for such a great price, is this for real? I'm not going to receive like, a '98 Civic in a bodykit, am I?"
The seller quickly responds, "no, of course not. We guarantee you're getting exactly the lambo you order. In fact if you don't receive the exact car with the same mileage in great condition, we'll give you your money back!" Well, with that guarantee you're sold. You place your bid and wouldn't you know it, you win it for $200k flat.
A few months later a truck with a fat trailer shows up to unload your lambo. Ohhhh man it looks good. You're glad it even arrived after waiting a few months. Car gets unloaded onto your driveway, but you're a savvy shopper. You just made a big investment, and not only is this YOUR lambo, but you were going to let your friends drive this Lambo too, so you want to go ahead and get it inspected by a trustworthy lambo specialist. So what do you do? You spend a few more bucks of your own money to get it inspected, and wouldn't you know it? It's a fucking '98 Civic in a bodykit.
You're a little ticked off because you specifically asked if it was going to be a '98 Civic in a bodykit, and the seller ASSURED you it was a legit Lambo. They even went so far as to promise you a refund if it wasn't. Now you've been inconvenienced greatly for your time, but you're just going to ask for your refund and move on. So you go and message the seller on eBay: "Hey man, received the car the other day, just got it inspected. It's a fucking '98 Civic in a bodykit. I specifically asked you if it was going to be beater in a bodykit. I'd like my refund."
The seller says "no, no refund."
@BWCguy you just spent $200k on a '98 civic in a bodykit when you ordered a Lambo. Did you get scammed?
