Road to first show

Currently 21 and never competed before.

Have been with a good coach for 7 months now and I’m currently mid offseason push. I will post the pictures of that transformation below.

I’m only 5’5 and I’ve always looked up to Shaun clarida and Lee priest bc of there heights.

Currently stuffing my face and doing very high volume workouts.

Looking to continue this log until I compete hopefully next year or so.

Picture shown is 168-196. Right picture is current

Food has been pushed up even more. Never knew I would be able to handle this amount of food, but the best bodybuilders are the ones who can eat the most. The push continues!

Just did quads yesterday and it went like this
Leg Extensions- Get 2 warm up sets of 25 reps. Toes pointed up neutral. 4
Working sets of 20 reps, on last set TWO dropsets dropping 20-25% each time to
FAILURE *F
Barbell Squats- 5 working sets. 20/15/12/10/8. On your last set, you will do a
DOUBLE DROPSET TO FAILURE. *F
V Squat Plate Loaded- 2 warm up. You will do ONE all out set to all out failure of
30-35. Rest pause if needed to hit the reps, leave nothing in the tank here. *F
Hack Squats- 4 Working Sets- 20/15/12/10 *F
sets.
Leg Press- 2 Sets, 30 reps.
Standing Calve Raise- 5 working sets of 12-15,

Yes I can if y’all would like.
Right now my short term is to continue to bulk but stay lean. I’m currently in college as a senior. After college is when I’d like to compete. I’ll share diet below

Those two pics are almost 30 lbs difference? Awesome work. Looks like you gained almost no fat.

What was your cycle like?

Checkins this morning at 193. I just might not even compete to be honest. Graduating college in may, and just bought a house. Will use this “prep” as a way to get my baby fat off completely and rebound out to compete down the road. I struggle with body dysmorphia very badly, sometimes I don’t even understand what I look like to others lol. If I could be 230-240 clean offseason at 5’5. I’ll be a happy camper to compete.

Amateurs do not need to be anywhere near that size 230-240 at 5'5" - you already have all the size you need to do very well at your first competition.

Plus, competing gives you useful experience and feedback from judges who will tell you where you need to focus on making changes.

You even have hamstrings prominently displayed in that side chest shot. This is something most do not develop until much later (and it looks like somebody is already starting to work on posing with you).

You have to decide for yourself, but I would encourage you to consider earlier rather than later it if this is something you would like to do. Being younger is an advantage in many ways.

True, just never big enough in my eyes. Ig it’s my own downfall.

Don't let that hold you back, is all I am saying. I am just providing an objective opinion after viewing photos of you here. I think you have what it takes to prep for an NPC competition now.

Go on their web site and take a look at overall and class winners to get an idea (not the nationals, but the local contests near you). They post all the photos of everybody who competed. It won't be hard to get an idea of about where you would fit in.

You never know who is going to show up. Some Mr. Olympia looking dude might show up for his first competition, but generally speaking that is not what the competition looks like.

Very true. I know I could win a show local to me. (I’ve been to the last 4 of them). I just hate spending thousands to compete against maybe 3- 5 guys.

Plan is to push hard till may. Get glutes in for the first time or damn near

Are you able to post your macros? Great progress so far. From someone that suffers body dysmorphia, even though it's gotten better over time, don't be your worst enemy.
