I remember reading some book under the name I think William Llewellyn, which was then in 1980 or 1990 a big hit before the internet revolution and quite interesting. When you google the name you find a few different people.

I don't mind paying more for exceptional customer service, and I'd like to believe someone that has contributed as much to the community as Mr. Llewellyn wouldn't endorse a product he considered "snake oil". However, your products/services need to be parallel OR EXCEED the quality standards in regards to accuracy of your competition in the market to justify your pricing.

My understanding is that on a fundamental level, reagent testing is far from a proprietary design / formula, these companies products are probably all more or less the same. I should state right now I have no real interest in this kind of testing though, so TIFWIW.
More competition in any space is a good thing for the consumer. If someone is in the market for these tests than we now have the luxury of having a little more choice in who we do business with, which is nice.
My bias is present here though because I would rather do business with Mr. Llewellyn's company instead of doing business with the labmax reps/shills and grifters who tried to discredit analytical testing and often cite non-existent lab reports performed at state universities for the purpose of discrediting analytical testing...even if that means paying a bit more.

No freebies here. They actually want you to pay double what their competitor is selling them for and that's after they give you a 20% discount. But hey they come in pretty packages. I'm just being hard on them cause I would love to bring them my bussiness but it just doesn't make financial sense to.
