Share Your Gym Pet Peeves

Can't stand when your waiting for a specific machine and the person on it dies one set every twenty minutes because they are busy either on the phone or bullshitting with someone else in the gym. There are times I can finish 80% of my workout and a person will still be sitting at the same machine. Drives me nuts
Those are the people there solely to say they lift weights. Probably have to check in on facebook and see their likes and comments. People who are driven by social media are douche bags! No real dedication to work out and work hard.

I got kicked out of my last gym for calling out this cunt ( man) for doing side step ups on the padded recline bench. He was holding 5lb dumbells in each hand and was doing them right in the middle of the dumbell section of the free weight room, So he could see himself in the mirror. Wtf?? I told him that the weight bench wasn't made for that and that there were stackable steps in the other room. He ignored me and continued anyway so I was forced to call him a cross fit faggot! Needless to say he went to the staff and reported me. They refunded my me my dues for the month and asked me not to come back. Ha, fuck them!!

People who think just cuz they leave their water bottle at a machine while using another one that some how means they are using both at the same time. Don't mean to single anyone out and sorry if this offends people but more often then not it's Haitians. That actually led me to join 24 hour fitness and leave youfit and planet fitness to get away from those people who flock to the 10 dollar a month gyms and act like their 10 bucks entitles them to hog every piece of equipment

I was thrown out of youfit permanently because a guy throw a punch at me for throwing out his empty water bottle he had sitting on the leg press machine. He swung missed I picked him up and slammed him and we both got thrown out even tho I wasn't trying to start a fight and didn't realize the guy used the water bottle as a place holder but I'm not gonna let anyone just yell in my face or attack me without defending myself

At my old gym before I moved there was an old guy who would stand in front of me while I was mid set and tap my shoulder until I stopped and took my headphones out, just so he could tell me some bullshit about how I need to do more or something.

You have to pay an extra $15/mo just to use a stairmill!? Get the fuck out of here. The guy lost his chiropractor license due to sexual assault charges. Biggest sleezeball/shitbag I've ever met.

LOL I know exactly what you mean. I'm doing incline press with dumbbells and he told me to tilt my hands/wrists to work my triceps. I wasn't trying to work my triceps? I don't understand why people have to interrupt mid-set lol.

And the stairmaster thing is REALLY messed up. Just wow.

Yeah that's way too fucking close! WTF! Is it bc the stairmaster's are so close together or what?

Yup they're close, but it only happens with one particular guy lol. He leans super close and exhales a lot haha. I only got stuck next to him twice.
 
Today I blasted a beautiful fart on this couple that were taking four minutes in between sets.

At first, I was just trying to stay busy on another exercise. Quite by accident, I discovered my swamp ass had grown toxic. Meanwhile, these two are taking four minutes in between each other's sets and checking their phones.

Twelve minutes later, they have each completed their second set of 52 reps at ten pounds.

I approached them with caution (I was a bit concerned it might be a shart). Somehow, the fates collided and just as my ass was at the guys face level, she leaned in to give him a kiss. That was it. I cracked open the gates of hell and released The Kracken.

I had the machine to myself after that.
 
People taking plates off my machine. My machine...I'm using the weights unless you ask. Get them from somewhere else.

I've actually have someone pull plates off the flat bench as I was repping 335. WTF? So rude. Not real safe either.
 
1) i got one guy i have to avoid like the plauge cuz he corners me talking about his high school days. Hes in his 40's
2) the bean pole doing capoiera in the open space section where i like to do my farmers walks
3) the old man making a psycho open-mouthed face for every rep he does regardless of the weight
4) the chubby 20 something yo trainers
 
1. Flexing after every fucking set. Retarded

2. Grunting or screaming.
Just shut the fuck up and train. It does no good and doesn't work.

3. Circuit Training.
You leave the equipment for another. It's mine.

4. Sweat drenched on benches.
Wipe that shit up. Nobody wants to dry it off with their shirt.

5. Taking to long on a piece of equipment. Stay of the fucking phone. Look at the clock. Take 1 minute at most and move on.

Ima continue to make funny noises at whatever decibel when I lift heavy and if someone doesn't like it either plug into your headset or fuck off cause I won't alter my training because it makes you uncomfortable or annouyed I'm smashing weight either way.

Roger that. I used to work out squats with 505. Not a sound. I'll have to try it out and see if it works.

Grunting def works for me on big pulls. Almost can't help it
