It seems that I'm not the only one who has had shipping issues (they write the shipping address incorrectly and the package gets lost).

First order received from SSA and they forgot to put the SS-31 I ordered in with the other items. Just reached out to the rep, hopefully they'll make it right but not excited about the extra coordination just to get what I paid for.

Mine was shipped 2 weeks ago. Tracking shows "Pre-Shipment, USPS Awaiting Item". I haven't had that one before, I've had "label created" before. They also put my suite # in the front of my address, I told them it isn't how mail is addressed in the US and was told "its fine, don't worry". I guess we will see what happens.

I have also had a package from SSA arrive in that time period without issue.
I'm hoping it's just delays.

It's because shippers DO NOT WANT contraband mixed in with their "regular" packs. Read my "Stock up" thread in the legal section to understand how the US (and now maybe others) are applying the screws to Chinese package consolidating shippers, holding them responsible for false customs declarations with big fines and suspending their ability to work in the country, costing them millions.

This "shipping line crisis" will become a far bigger problem than even the raws shortage.

How do you think gear from China has been getting in so easily? It's not special smuggling routes, submarines, or secret airports. It's just the mail. Or more accurately, large containers filled with tiny packages, that are relabeled with US postage once they arrive in the US. Customs is sent an electronic list of contents, senders, and recipients which customs just green lights (because they're overwhelmed and they can't charge duties on any of it), and bam, it's in.

That's all about to change.

The "De minimus" rule allowed packages with a declared value under $800 to enter the...
