Source code of conduct rough draft

I know I'm new here, but a few things I'd love to see.

- Mandatory PGP encryption. This should be the standard.
- Description of basic shipping security: NOT how stealth it's packaged (this should be private), but if it meets basic standards, such as being vacume-sealed, printed with no hand-written labels, including a return address (not real obviously). Avoid red flags.
- Optional, but encouraged anonymous/psuedo-anonymous payment methods. WU/MG don't meet my safety standards. Basically I'd like to see bitcoin (but that'll require more education in general on how to keep it anonymous). I know this won't be required but more sources should offer it as an option.

Along the lines of security they should include what other measures they take to protect our security to make sure that there is not a bunch of shit on someones hard drive for months on end

I agree, but there's no way to enforce this. Just make them swear they delete emails after an order is sent or delivered?

Another one I just thought of that most hopefully already do:

- If a source has a website, it must not be hosted in the U.S.

Wow thanks for making this thread stomps.

I spoke to Labmax and they have no issues being funded say $500 (could be $200).

With this $500, a member can send random 1 test samples per month to random buyers.

This way, a source pays for labmax.

If you look at the labmax results page, alot of the results are already over 1 month old.

The only hurdle is someone has to manage that 1 sources $500 credit sending out the vials say 2 - 5x a month. The UV flashlight can be purchased on Amazon for $10.

OR..

A source has to credit the cost of individual tests per tested vial (with a monthly cap) to testers.

The only thing is the tester has to prove he did the test recently by putting a name with a date on it.

Also I noticed a few sources offer this and no user has done it.

Just my thoughts...

Once this is outlined.. a new source can be sent to a thread like this (if Millard won't Stick it) and basically instead of us fighting with them they can see how we roll. If they don't like it they can get up and leave.

Great thread. This is innovation in its rawest and purest form.

So I think we can start making a final draft if someone better with word than I wants to start making it and we can all decide if we like it.
I quoted a lot of the ideas so we don't have to go searching through the thread again.

#1 pics of operation I know some are opposed to this but I think it should be done

Email encryption period and no gmail, safe-mail, etc...

#3
Full disclosure. Who is there rep even though i doubt they will admit to schills who was comped free shit.

Edit: on second thought no more free gear

Stomps great thread. You keep surprising me.

What other boards they are on. There filtration process. No more vets bringing them into meso. Example Kane.

source has too prove all of these things before they giving members freebies and logs.

If a vet is a rep for a source they need to make that public.

I'd like to see a source limited to being able to start only one thread.

Members can obviously create a separate thread IF NEEDED, but I don't need a source starting 57 threads.

Maybe a minimum post count required before a source can post a thread?

Along spiders lines of secure, and encrypted email, absolutely no orders through PM.

Perhaps the ability to red flag a source thread? If enough members select it it would show the same way the stars do? That way noobs aren't mislead by initially positive posts...

PGP encryption key... the sources public key.

^^^^ I like the above however I don't think everyone will go for the bit coin.

i would like to see some sort of escrow service enforced such as....
https://paysafeescrow.com/

And ^^^ this I'm not sure how that would work

Great thread...

What about minimum service requirements? If they are not sticking to stated t/a times with shipping they should notify. If they are ouy of stock we should know. This "im taking time for my family" shit is cute but have a rep to soothe fears.

Minimum response times to pm's, emails, board posts. Setting expectations around service will eliminate issues before they plague the thread- meaning issues that aren't issues like a source not responding in 20 min.

Escrow really solves these problems.

the reason most are worried is they have money sitting in the sources pocket.
with only a promise to ship...

that is eliminated when an escrow is used.

When goods are shipped, received, and deemed acceptable your funds are released to the source.

I use escrow services daily for my business.

I just want to say one thing then I will shut up and let you vets get back to work.

If you could get a source that is willing to use an escrow account that adds immediate legitimacy in my book. Beezil I do not know how the tracking of funds work and keeping that secure but that there is a game changer.

I hope bitcoin starts catching on since it's virtually untraceable, but since it's subject to huge value swings there is a bit of a risk there. If you bought $1000 in bitcoin but it takes 3 days to clear an ACH and get converted, you can lose $200-$300 of value before payment is sent if a major country's central bank changes it's policy on crypto currency. If this happens, either the seller takes a hit (if payment is for a certain amount of bitcoin) or the buyer takes a hit (if payment is for a certain number of $, just transferred via bitcoin network). I'd like to see bitcoin as an option more often, but it's hard to mandate due to this reason.

To really make it solid after we get all the standards numbered, We can vote on each section.
Only members with over lets say off the top of my head 100 post to vote.
Then let the voting go on for a good period of time, lets say 1 or 2 weeks.
We can get it as a Sticky as well as make it a standard for any source, For the people by the People.
So say we all :)

Mandatory requirements:

4. References. Do you source at other boards.

5. Sources limited to one thread pushing their product.

6. If source had a website it cannot be hosted in the U.S.

^^^^^^^ let me know what you guys think I tried to put everyone's opinions in there might have forgotten some but that's why it's a rough draft [:o)]

Looks good, but I think the last two debacles with sources transpired because of or were exacerbated by lack of communication. (Bio, pep)

A simple guideline that the owner or a rep should check in every 24 or 48 hours to address any memeber concerns would not be unrealistic. It would also allay the fears that turn threads into conspiracy theory hotbeds. Just the .02 from B house.

That's for the sources benefit. The online world moves fast, and when things go to shit, they do it in hours. You throw meat to lions...

i still go back to...

if your money is safe... all the other items besides legit gear doesn't matter.

i could really care less how long it takes to get here... or how much i talk to my source.

back in the day...it took a month or so...

i just don't like worrying if i get my gear... after i have already sent money gram.

this disappears with escrow... SilkRoad pioneered this and thats why no one had problems... till DPR dropped the ball himself.

if your money is safe... you are not worried. Simple.

Guys... the source has no control.... The buyer has control. We have the money. if the source wants it... he has to put the protocol in place. just like SilkRoad did.

Its sad that the Rec and PED sources on SilkRoad were much more savvy then the PED's sources on these boards....
