Staying lean year around possible?

It really depends on what you mean looking lean and bf lean can be way diffirent.
also depends on your goals as BB Vs Male fitness model type. regardless please know your body needs fat and some times you will need to be over cals. Theres alot of science thats goes behind so your question is a bit vague to me

I have a few buddies that are really serious about bodybuilding and have abs year round. They post a lot of cheat meals on Facebook and make it seem like they hardly diet on social media. In reality that is only 1% of their life. The other 99% they're never missing workouts, always push themselves harder and harder, and weigh out all of their meals to the gram.

Who would want to stay lean year round? Superbowl party and your ass is drinking water not beer? Pshhhhh
Go out on the town and your ass cant eat nothin good? Pshhhhh
Go on vacation and your ass is eating dried seaweed chips and tongue punching a dasani bottle? Pshhhhh
What man behaves like that?
I dunno bout you but i LIKE bulking :) it makes all this sacrifice worth it. And hey i get swole at the same time.
Win win

5% bf no. 10-12% bf, which is still lean and healthy yes.

I did it for years. I recently married and my wife is an excellent cook. I'm 15% and not enjoying it. Diet is just as important if not more so than AAS.

This is how I work. Bulk in the fall, pretty much diet is out the window for winter (except for protein) spring I hate myself for eating like shit in the winter, so I begin the difficult cut, by July I'm ready for the beach. Repeat. I've pretty much got it down now. I never stop training other than a week off for some of my deloads. I don't drink or do drugs anymore so I enjoy eating junk every now and then.

I used to stay in the single digits yr round when i was younger. Counting cals, food on scales, low fat/carb, high protein diets, intense training but now I could care less. I'm not doing contest. I judge my looks by the mirror and adjust my diet accordingly. It sucked to go out places with friends and family and not be able to enjoy eating good food with them. For me it was nothing but egg whites, oatmeal, chicken breast, white fish, sweet potatoes, greens, fruits and protein shakes. Every fucking day same stuff. It was a sacrifice and my body felt the toll. It's also healthier to have a little fat on you.

I hate to say this but here it goes. I've done prep bulking numorios time what you see on social media is not always true. And there alot of factors they play in to this. One you can build a house with shit or build a house that is strong. 2 it can depend your type Endo ecto meso. Some people can handle once a week cheats or should I say going over calories in order to keep there metabolism going some can ever two week and some every month. Then you have the GH factor where you can eat and have a metabolism of a teen. But still hence how do you want to build your house. Me I'd rather eat a slap of steak clean over Cal's. But also you have social media those pics are not always what you think in the off season body builders can look pretty plump. But stay about 10 % or a bit under but can get ready in a month or so and some models in a week or so. I stay anywhere between 10 to 7% I'd rather stay in a low digit range that's less work for later when it's closer to a shoot or show time. You have to know your body and that's a years worth of figuring out what works for you. Hell I'm still learning. Best advice is write out every thing you do on your diet and learn your body because everyone is different. Also it never hurts to get a coach that has worked with lots of athletes.

I agree with the writing shit down part. It has helped me stay honest with myself with how much I'm eating. I've gotten away from it this past month and it shows. I'm started tracking everything again.

This is pretty much me lol. They automatically assume its just the steroids letting me eat like shit, even though 95% of the time I eat clean as fk. Why the fk would I post my clean food on social media, shit looks like garbage.

Low dose of test and some masteron is a good was way to stay cut all year long and cruise. It works for me whenever I take out my deca and tren out my cycleS and make sure to eat clean.

So interesting to read what everyone has to say!!! Tbh I don't think it's genetic it's definitely more to do with diet ect

Ever seen pics of Callum when he was a wee little lad? He was a skinny guy. His genetics play a huge role in it, but that doesn't mean he is lazy.
He's pretty spot on with his nutrition as well.

I agree genetics play a huge role just like nutrition.
