STOP INTERFERING WITH SOURCES BUSINESS

You are a reseller that got himself on the corner due to low stock.

Good.
Same way I knew @Big_bowl0tren was a source even if he identified as a hoarder.

After 4 decades in it's not that difficult
you don't see me in ANY source threads mentioning T/A times, suck any sources dick, thank any sources, ask about stock, deals, shipping, discounts, etc.

Yet you are constantly in chinese sources defending them, going to other forums to defend GAs price increase.

Again, I never mentioned you directly and none of the things in my post should be controversial to any customer, to a supplier or someone affiliated with them, they would be upset like you are.

its obvious to anyone

Unfortunately you're not going to be able to stop this chatter among the forums. Even when the news media was describing how moronic It was to panic buy toilet paper because the docks were shut down for a week, people still did it and grocery stores dried up of all toilet paper.

What you are describing here goes against some basic principles of societal interactions and social norms. It's not human nature for the masses to go quietly into their holes, stick their heads in the sand and pretend like nothing is happening. True this would create a facade on the forums of "business as usual" but it only works to the point where sources shut down and stop accepting orders. Well we are past that point under this current supply shortage and no amount of "shutting up" is gonna stop anything

stop speculating
stop addressing other consumer complaints
stop asking to pay more money (AKA ITS SO CHEAP WOO)
stop giving them reasons to raise the prices
stop trying to negotiate
stop giving them business "ideas"
stop groveling for simply giving you the product you paid for
stop forming para-social relationships
stop being a coward

buy the gear, complain or STFU

many of you are very new to gear and also have no idea how business works.
So sheltered, that you believe everything in the world is determined by a faceless corporate entity and the employees just make hourly wages and don't care what price their employer sets it at.

Do you go to businesses and tell them that you would gladly pay more just because its cheaper than somewhere else?
If someone has a complaint with their dish at a restaurant, do you chime in and defend the chef?

this. is. common. sense.

I swear some of you people haven't done an economic exchange apart from Amazon and Walmart.
The type of goofball that would go on vacation and pay $30 for some sandals at a market just because that's the price you are accustomed to paying in your own country.

(Edit: When I have services done, there is no price tag, do I pay it, shake their hand and say "Whew $300! i would've paid $600 for this" then go back to the same guy?
When someone opens up a business, and just sets their pricing, do I go with all my friends and loudly talk about how low the prices are in front of the owner?)

On boards of the past, spending your time speculating on shortages, defending dealer price gouging, among other shady practices, would get you ostracized/banned. Now this shill behavior is nearly the norm because people adopt this behavior.

This is like a business negotiation where one party tells the other exactly what they are thinking, then goes back to their party, giving them the response and agreeing with the other party, convincing their own side to see things the way the opposing party does, repeatedly, losing ground every time they open their mouth. It is embarrassing.

everything you type in naive goodwill will be used against you during future business.

the sources come here, to us, yet you give them all the benefit of the doubt and side with them.

you are not helping.

it is a shame this board has so many naive cucks, and, this is obvious, Chinese shills on VPNs or not even VPNs, just part of the diaspora.
If you’ve ever read through an entire sources thread (it’s daunting), you see who the obvious shills are and you USED to see them get banned pretty quickly. But now even the obvious ones aren’t banned because they spam posts elsewhere to try and hide it. But they always spend a majority of their time in the source thread of their daddy.

It’s become so blatant. I am shocked by it at times. The biggest ones are the ones that never get banned, But others post only a few times before they are banned in a couple of weeks or so.

The old "if you don't talk about it, it's not going to happen"

Oh it's going to happen, like it happened on OGG, ORD, OCJ. But this time it feels different. I had never seen raw vendors being so openly panicked.

I hope I am wrong and everything goes back to business as usual tomorrow

We pay, therefore we decide.

@bigMoJo you liked this post? You spend a majority of your day speculating lol. Like that’s 3/4 of your posts in the QSC thread and “long term stash” threads lol

I’m new here and just making an observation. From everything he wrote out, it’s very interesting to me that this is the response.
The average gear user would grab 2-3 kits and be ok for a year or so waiting for this to blow over.

If you dedicate an entire wall post in a dedicated thread just to deny reality it just shows you either are a cheap stake like the strange something guy or someone that just lost revenue.

Do the math

Well he seems to do that for every post, but i dont hold anything i wrote personally against anyone who did these things unknowingly, my goal is to make people aware and shift the community power back to the consumer.

there has been a shill campaign that has gone on so long that it has influenced the minds of new members

"Don't speculate. Don't watch for the signs of impending problems. Don't prepare just in case. Wait for shortages to arrive, and once things are no longer available, that's the time to order."

There is a difference in an individual making that decision for himself organically and going about it, And just spending all day spamming the same message in mostly just one place. While encouraging others and discussing it to death.

OP, I am trying to understand where you come from, with your reasoning.
I think it would make sense if the situation in China did not exist, and it was exclusively about sources trying to exploit an unrelated issue and the sentiments it arouses in people.

What I remember, is that it started with smaller, newer sources like Sigma Audley and JY stopping shipping of certain things, and then it went from there.
The situation became more known and I do believe it is a reality, in China.
Funnily enough, Qsc was the last to come out with the problems they are facing, with regards to sourcing raw materials.
I don't think you are arguing about the authorities actions there affecting these companies, are you?

Has people's panic somewhat exacerbated the price rises?
Are sources taking advantage of people's willingness to pay whatever they put forward? Sure, you are right, there.
But I think it's more about both things feeding into each other.
People not "panicking" would not have prevented these companies hiking prices.
For them, it's damage limitation, in the short term, for the revenue they will be losing.

Edit: do I agree with you that there are various members acting on behalf of sources, to stir the pot?
Yes.
But that's happening all the time, not only in this time of crisis...
