Surgery

BPC ?, I can assure you the scope SIZE played a much larger role in scar formation bc the diameter of contemporary arthroscopes ranges from a "big" FOUR Millimeter (the introducer) to the "mini" ONE Millimeter (manipulators), and for comparison a ONE MM scope is about the size of a 20 gauge needle.

And bc skin stretches the surgeon has little difficulty inserting a FOUR mm scope into a TWO mm incision. Who would have thought any orthopod could offer scarless surgery :)

Glad your doing well @mands

jim
The largest insertion cut was 15mm and that was closest to neck. The other four were around 14mm in length.

I have seen studies on what BPC can do for scaring and healing so thought I would try it out. No complaints on my end but like I stated I can't be certain.

I guess I will have to get my left one does as well and not run anything. :)

Just a quick update this week. Feeling really good and have started some resistance and small load with PT. Advancing quickly. Almost full range of motion and hit the gym three times this week.

I did some 5 lb & 10 lb dumbbell curls, tricep pushdowns with 30 lbs., seated rows with 45 lbs. and flat bench with 10 lb dumbbells. Did a little shrug pull backs with 10 lb dumbbells as well. I did this twice this week. Monday and Thursday.

I hit legs Tuesday. Leg extension and Seated curls, went into walking lunges, leg press and then calves. I don't think you care about the weight on these as my shoulder is the focus.

All in all a great week. Sore today but a good sore.

I started this week on the scale at 270 lbs.

Congratulations on your recovery thus far big guy. Sounds like you have it going your way.

Hahaha this week I am actually doing some strength movements. Last couple weeks just using those 5 pounds for mind muscle control and feeling the movement.

Oh that’s great and bet you can’t wait to get back to your normal routine soon. Easy and steady works.

Glad all is going well Im in the same boat just started working tris this week and moved up to 10 lbs dumbell curls I'm also doing push-ups off my knees it's slow progress but it's progress I'll take it
Yes sir it's a slow process and I could probably progress a little faster but I am not taking a chance at this stage in the game. Glad you are on the right track.

What type of pain or aches are you having? Anything to report?

mands

As of now my pain is pretty well gone other than the feeling you get when you haven't worked out in awhile just sore from working it every week seems to be getting a little better
How many weeks post-op are you?

Yeah man I bet. I will update on my routine this week. I will be doing the following:

1. Bicep Curls
2. A variation of overhead lat pull downs but you only use shoulders.
3. Low rows
4. Floor press with kettle bells
5. Front laterals
6. Side laterals
7. Push up variation engaging shoulders
8. Single arm overhead press with stretch at top with kettle bell.

I hope you are feeling better today.
