I appreciate you posting this Ben! I do understand why only a handful of people took what I said seriously from the beginning and actually believed the situation, and that is because I spent way too much time joking and clowning to the responses I got. I should have left it alone after my first post, and ignored any further speculation. The more I spoke about it, the more outlandish it seemed and soon enough it looked like I had an agenda and was just desperately trying to convince everyone of a fictitious tale.
Unfortunately, I think we will be seeing more incidents related to this in the future, as similar situations are happening with other sources (like the one your friend used and other sources here).
I understand my rights and I would seek the help of my attorney before saying anything beyond what I did (“sorry I didn’t order anything, wish I could be more of assistance”), but that didn’t stop me and never would stop me from bringing it out in the open here. It may seem incriminating of me to do so, but everyone has their own opinion on that and regardless the forum should be aware of what happened. At the end of the day no matter how secure any sources opsec is, if situations like these arise then they are usually the beginning of the downfall of a source.. I don’t want people to misinterpret this as me acting as some sort of saint who’s willing to incriminate themselves in hopes of protecting everyone else. I personally do not think it was, or is incriminating for myself or anyone else to bring this shit out in the open. Again, that’s just my opinion.
Bottomline, Just like @movingiron88 said recently, situations like these should not be swept under the rug. Everyone should know who and what happened. The “why” part of it is the meso guessing game everyone loves to play, and ironically the part that only law enforcement can really answer..
I’ll continue to avoid this thread because disrupting this sources business by stirring up arguments and causing people to play the role of law enforcement specialist and online criminal lawyer was and won’t ever be my agenda.
This will be my second to last post here. BB69 I look forward to any future postings you have that could provide more insight on these situations, as even I’m left with plenty of questions myself...
