My email has been compromised, evidently through iOS. Search for "iPhone messenger hack": it was new news at the beginning of this month.
I got an email last week demanding $2500 in bitcoin. I didn't even have $2500 to give the guy; so I just ignored it. All of my money went to new raw materials.
It's not my return addresses that is the problem. It is completely legitimate. I ship from places on my way through from home to the field sites. It isn't near my home; otherwise I wouldn't be up so early every morning.
There is no way I'd ship from my local office.
Search the internet for using return addresses different from the shipping city. The radius is 200 miles or different time zones. All return addresses are legitimate physical addresses; but they aren't my house. It is very common for ebay businesses. I studied this before I began.
I can't track any packages because I lost the 2FA with iPhone and I can't get into my email since about 1PM.
This package was probably reported by whomever took over my device because of the email that the postage site sends after label creation.
I will refund anyone who does not get a package.
My 2FA is inoperable here too; so it is probably only a matter of time until this account is worthless.
This was intentional and was done by a bad person.
I will create another account to reimburse any people who suffer a loss because of this.
I did not know this much unbridled laziness existed in which someone would resort to potential ruin of lives over $2500 that a man did not possess to begin with.
This is my last post from this account.
I'm sorry, but I did not do this. I am not capable of malice of this magnitude; and I am now temporarily inoperable.
Someone, please end this hacking foolishness.
Actually, I just realized that the time line of events between my
knock and talk and your email hacking make your “hacker/extortionist reporting my postage” theory impossible.
My package was scheduled for delivery on the 17th. On the 17th, it arrived at the post office, and tracking went dead later in the day. It was stuck at “awaiting final delivery scan” and only my informed delivery showed it. I could not track the package on USPS. I assumed my stoner mail guy fucked up, but looking back now I should have known something was off about this delivery .
On the 19th, I had my knock and talk (I forget whoever coined that term but thank you I love it).
If your email was compromised on the night of the 18th (when you said you received the $2500 extortion email) and your postage was “reported to LE”, how would it be possible for them to follow up with me the next morning?
My package was clearly in the hands of LE on or before the day it was due to be delivered (17th), yet your email was compromised the night of the 18th and your “postage was reported”.
I’m very tired right now and my grammar/sentences may not be the best, but I would imagine you can figure out what I’m getting at.
Your story doesn’t make any fucking sense and is actually impossible given the timeline of events between the scheduled delivery of my package and your alleged email hacker postage reporting.
I can post my full tracking with all location and zip codes blacked out if need be. Also, there is another person in this thread who told me they had some odd tracking and were expecting a package but never got it. It would be great to hear what the status on that is but I won’t throw you under the bus lol.
Ok now I sleep, goodnight everyone.
