6/10
deads 3x315, 1x385, 1x445, 1x505, 0x560, 1x530
speed deads 2x3 365

Thought I would be good for 560 based on how 505 moved but I barely broke it off the floor. Too much screwing around after I grabbed the bar as I'm much better just griping and ripping. Came back with 530 which was harder than it should have been but I've never been worth a shit after missing a pull so it was not a big deal.

That's is for pulling prior to the meet. Optimistic I should be able to top my 550 meet PR as this has been a solid training cycle for deads after I got past the hernia issues.

I generally pull quite a bit more during a meet than my training max due to the deadlift bar at meets versus stiff bar at home.

6/11
paused bench 5x165, 5x215, 2x265, 1x315, 1x365, 1x395, 2x365
leg curls 2x10 100, 2x8 110
GHR's 2x15

Pretty much all out on 395. Session after pulling is usually not real strong for me and that held true. Lower back was a little tweaked from the previous days deads so I cut out squats today.

6/12
paused bench 5x165, 5x215, 2x265, 1x315, 1x365, 1x395, 2x365
pull throughs 2x12 130, 2x10 140
ab pulldowns 3x12 130

Came back at 395 today and it moved much better was good for at least another 5 pds. and maybe 10 today with a clean rep.

Better today, 400 moved ok. Probably had another 5 pds. in me. Two more days of working up to a max single then the only other major work before the meet is to work up to my 365 bench opener on Thursday.

What are you thinking?
365, 405, 415? I think so.

If I had you there screaming at before each attempt and some legit Halo maybe, but since that won't be the case...

365 is the first attempt, 390 is the second ( have to at least get a meet PR) we will see on the third. I really want to get a 400 on the books in a meet at 198. I would much rather get 405 and leave a few pounds on the table than just miss at 410-415.

At this stage I'm not up to those numbers anyway. In the past on this program what I can get in training is very close to what I get at the meet. The only thing that makes me think I might be able to get a little more this time is that I'm usually about 10-15 pounds over my meet weight during the training cycle. The last couple of weeks I have been less than five pounds over and right now I'm only 3 pounds from making weight so not having to do anything drastic to make weight could add to my numbers. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

Nobody knows you better than you... let me know when the next meet is and I could probably make it. I'll shove a dozen halo in my ass for the flight- but if the bag breaks I might not make it.

I'll have to head south for the next meet. As much as I like you I'm not swallowing anything that has been in your ass.

If the bag breaks you should see if they will take a last minute entry...

6-14
paused bench 5x165,5x215, 2x265, 1x315, 1x365, 1x395, 1x365
lat pulldowns 3x6 270

Good today. 365 flew up. Resisted the urge to go 405 and stuck with 395 which moved real well. I was good for 405 today

6/15
paused bench 5x165, 5x215, 2x265, 1x315, 1x365, 1x400

400 went up but slow and not nearly as smooth as 395 the day before. This was my last really heavy session before the meet on Saturday. Will work up to my 365 opener on Thursday, all of the other days will just be a couple of sets maxing at 285 which is what I did today.
