Hahahahahahahah. Classic line. Everything but the pecker was involved in locking it out lmao.

Brutus came up by me to be wined and dined and i began showing him a few different setups styles but we only got to work on it for a little while. If you can help him out he would definitely benefit. I think he's leaving at least 15-20lbs on the bar with his current setup (no offense Brut, just trying to get you to crush that 415 brother :))

Doc as ugly as that press was no one is going to want to take my set up advice! Brutus is supposed to forward me some bench video and I'm sure he can add some pounds to his press.

Bench moved better today so I went up a couple to 397. Much cleaner press than yesterday's mess and was able to get it done with a legit pause. First backoff double moved well enough that I increased the second to 360.

Proving that few things ever go smoothly. I went to register for the meet on Friday and it was listed as sold out. I wasn't that worried as I know the meet director and have lifted at several of his meets. Emailed him and got a response back today that he is overbooked and can't get me in.

Completely pissed off and frustrated but after doing some checking there is a meet the same day about 90 miles from me. It is a no name federation and for a number of reasons I can tell it is likely to be a cluster fuck but I will make it work and the meet director told me they got a new competition bench which will be used for the first time at this meet.

Still hoping to get into the planned meet as it is 5 minutes from my house, has a 24 hour weigh in and is very well run. Right now it doesn't look good though.

560 broke the floor and moved several inches but that was it. Noticed a form breakdown on the video and will make an adjustment next week. No hernia issues today so I will pull again next Tuesday, how heavy will be based on how things feel working up. That will be my last pulling session prior to the meet.

Took it easy coming off the pulling session yesterday and after a little elbow soreness after the close grips on Monday. 390 is my planned second attempt at the meet so I wanted to make sure my form is completely dialed in at that number. Rep went up smoothly with no form breakdowns.

Trying to give my left elbow and bicep tendon a bit of a break while dialing in my second attempt which will be 390 and making sure that there is no possibility that my ass comes off the bench on that attempt. 390 would be a meet PR and at that point I can let it rip on 400 or above and see what happens.

405 was a near miss but was a poor try as I rushed everything, lowered the bar too quickly, pause wasn't long enough. Fought it for a while but couldn't lock it out. Effort was okay but the form was no good.

Came back in the afternoon after doing yard work in the sun a good part of the day and was determined to work up to 390-395. 365 didn't move very quickly so I decided 385 would be enough. It was a slow but clean rep.
