Test/deca

Hello,

I just started a run of test and deca. Was originally going to kick it off with dbol, but after using it on my last run, I decided against it. I loved the performance benefits, but I just really didn't care for the effects from an aesthetic stand point. I decided I'd give tbol a shot since I had it already.

The cycle will go,

Week 1-6: T-bol @ 50mg's every day
Week 1-8: Deca @ 400mg's a week
Week 1-8: Test E @ 600mg's a week
Week 9-12: Deca @ 600mg's a week
Week 9-14: Test @ 800mg's a week
Week 17: Start PCT

Supps are Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Melatonin, Cialis, Adex, CEL cycle assist, Animal Pak, bcaas, glutamine, and hcg.

Doing a 6 day power/hypertrophy routine with the main emphasis on the big three.

Current raw pr's are,

Squat: 495
Bench: 355
Deadlift: 565

I would really like to push myself over the 1,500lbs mark with this cycle. I won't be using anything fancy, just a linear progression routine.

So that is my goal for strength, now for size. Currently I was cutting down to 198, I would like to have an off season weight of closer to 225-230 so I could compete in the 220 class without being undersized.

With that being said, I am sitting at about 201 right now at 5'9. Roughly 10% bf. So 20lbs of lean mass is my goal!

Technically I started yesterday, so I'll post my workout for that in the next post and my weight. Any questions, or comments on anything I do are completely welcome!

Workout update:

Weight @ 20lbs

4x5 Bb flat bench @ 315lbs
3x8 incline bench
4x15 cable crossovers
3x8 ohp
4x8 weighted dips
4x10 skull crushers
4x15 french press
4x15 tricep Pushdown
Drop set single arm reverse grip tricep pushdowns

Good numbers. Count me in.

I ran something very similar into my last meet. Test at 600mg, deca at 400mg, HGH at 2-5iu/day and dbol at 20mg/day the last six weeks into the meet. Originally was going to compete at 220 and ended up dropping the deca in favor of tren and cutting to 198 to chase a couple records.

Six days a week is pretty unconventional for powerlifting purposes. What's your weekly setup look like?

I switch it up very often. I was just doing Layne Norton's ph3. What I am doing now is actually going back to the original program I made. I start with light bench, with whatever accessories I need. Right now triceps are my focus. Then I do a light squat day, which squats make up almost all my leg work. Right now I'm doing front squats, but more to strengthen my core than quads. Then I do a light deadlift day with some rowing and bicep work afterwards. After that I just repeat it, but bump up the weight and lower the reps.

I see, be careful not to burn yourself out with too much volume or intensity.

Have you competed before or would this be your first?

This would be my first. I was actually supposed to do my first this saturday, ended up not being able to go. So figured I'd just bulk into my first instead of cutting. Although I honestly didn't lose really any strength cutting from 210 to 198.

As far as over training, I've definitely gotten used to my body and can tell even before I go to the gym if I've been training too much lately. All I ever do is take a day off and I'll feel great the next day.

With that being said, I WILL squat at least 545, bench 405, and deadlift 605 by the end of this!! Ha

Nice, I was just shy of 1500lbs at my meet earlier this month. Almost certainly could've pushed for the extra pounds, but months of cutting hurt my confidence and I shocked myself on meet day.

Sign up for your meet as soon as you can. It'll change your mindset on training for real.

I already was looking at one in December. Should be right towards the tail end of this when I'm smashing pr's. That is one thing I have going for me, I am definitely kind of overly aggressive and reckless. I couldn't even imagine myself on something like a tren and halo stack. I'd probably kill someone. Ha!

Alright I'll dip my toes into this one, you got good numbers there my man nice to have another strength monster in the mits. Out of curiousity what programs have you run?

@jaymaximus @RodgerThat @Eman

I'm paging some other strength enthusiasts, we're short on PL logs right now. You've got a good start here, but you kinda failed on naming this log, lol.

Lol. Yeah. Ha. Well its just a 6 week hypertrophy phase, then 6 weeks of strength related programming, a week to deload, then retest my maxes the last week of the cycle. So I'm thinking even just by putting on a solid 10-15lbs the first 6 weeks, even without specifically training for strength, my strength should inevitably increase. Then once I switch back into my strength programming, at the end of the 6 week block I'm hoping my numbers will blow the f up... at least that's the plan. Lol

I've actually just ran all of my own workouts.. then I did Layne Norton's ph3, well, half assed Layne Norton's ph3 because I got bored sticking to the programming. I want to start to do some actually tried and true programs after this, because with my severe lack of experience and knowledge, I can tell I must have some potential to be at least a half way decent powerlifter. I've just always done my own thing, and now trying to get into the sport and researching a lot about it, I realize I've been messing up on a lot of stuff that could potentially hold me back in the future if I don't change it.

I am really liking the looks of this. Thanks @Perrin Aybara

This is actually not really unlike my training program.. just a few differences.

I train 6 days a week also which is not completely common with powerlifting. Half of my time is focused on hypertrophy and the other half power, you also appear to have slightly more volume I think.

Anyways, subbed and good luck.

Oh and yeah the name of the log... Don't take a job naming cycle logs bud lol.

If you happen to think of a slightly more attractive name, I think Millard might just help you out with changing it. :)

Ha. I'll remember that in the future.
