No, my buddies who compete are gonna spot me and give commands.
She's just gonna be there for motivational reasons, mental support.

No sure on my attempts yet, waiting to hear back from POB. I'm thinking 440-360-640 for my third attempts.

Your deadlift in particular is extremely impressive brother. How much are you weighing lately?
 
I'm guessing since your friends are giving out commands and spotting that this is a mock meet in the gym and not an actual meet?

POB will, at least when he's there in person, usually have you hit your openers for a double or triple 2-4wks before the meet. You can expect aboit a 30-40lb jump on squats and deads and about half that on bench for second attempts but it also depends on how the openers look; whether there's good bar speed or not, how much form breakdown, etc. Third attempts are never written in stone. You really need to base them off the previous 2 attempts. Regardless, you have some solid numbers and I'm anticipating hearing your results.

I just want my squats to even out with my deads. Before I start my next training cycle the beginning of the new year I'll be squatting every 3 days religiously. Rotating fronts, paused, max effort. I've only been squatting for 2 years, so I have to run that through my head sometimes to remind myself.

What I asked POB to do for me that helped me a lot IMO was to not tell me the weights. It worked bc he was at the meet physically to do that but not knowing the weights kept everything in perspective for me. There was no way to fear the weight bc I didn't know what it was and and I could only believe my coach picked a weight that he knew I could do. Made me realize it's just up to performing and doing what you have to do to get a good lift in. The weight didn't matter just the white lights.

Did the squat staple you or did you get out of the hole at all? Where did the dead die first attempt? What was a pr in the efforts? Great job man. How long until next mock meet? 16 weeks?

Got the squat attempt up about halfway before I stalled.

Second attempt on Deads I got it 6inches off the ground. Hips shot up too fast.

I have an actual meet in April. Excited about it, but really bummed about today. Wanted a pull over 600
 
Just catching up. Based on tripling 565 you are good for more than 600 and will get it on your real meet day. Unlike either of the other lifts adrenalin really seems to have a huge impact pulling on meet day for most.

Sounds like you may be in my neck of the woods based on an earlier comment.

Thanks MP for the encouragement. I know I'm good for over 600 for sure. I did the total mock meet in a little over a hour. I was anxious and didn't wanna give myself time. Shiuld have spread it out and not dome it first thing in the morning. My buddy said you're breezing through this chill out.
 
Unfortunately at a meet it will be the other direction and likely take about 6 or 7 hours to get through. Helpful for recovery from the previous lifts but you definitely need to learn not to get too keyed up because you will be sitting and waiting most of the day.

This is particularly true if your in the area I think. Every f'ing meet around here recently has sold out well in advance.
 
Went in today and did some pump stuff. Shoulders Tricep and some chest. Delts were on fire and FULL AF

Bench 295
6 sets 6 reps

Lateral Raises- 12 reps with 4 second eccentric followed immediately with partials till failure, 20 seconds rest between sets
3 drops sets 35,25,15

Cable lateral, front raise and up right rows
12 reps of each with 4 second eccentric followed by partials of each till failure.
2 total sets

Single arm Tricep pull down 12 palms up immediately followed by 12 palm down. 4 second eccentric with 1 second paused at top and bottom contractions. Last rep of each is a 5 second hold at mid range of motion

Over head single arm extension 3 sets back to back no rest 12-7-4

Pump was insane. Had to have had 19s after this
