The road to 1500..

POB only complaints/ques were to make sure I flex my triceps. Especially on my underneath hand since that elbow has been giving me a little to trouble lately. And that I get fatter and uglier. I don't normally roll the weight into me. I generally grip and rip.

Fatter and uglier will definitely help increase your total as would growing out the beard more lol

Dude you have had some awesome progress brother. Can't wait to see how the mock meet goes in a few weeks

Uh oh, it's peaking time for you. This is the time that all your hard work is about to be tested and for you to find what you're made of. No turning back now mofo. Full steam ahead.

How do you like POB's programming? I've made great progress with him. I actually went to lift with him last weekend. The fukker made me squat and bench with a buffalo bar. I cursed his entire lineage that day.....

I haven't gotten the opportunity to lift with a buffalo bar yet. I can imagine on bench it's alot harder. I lift at a commercial ass gym at the moment. It's convenient and cheap. They're about to make some major changes there tho. I was talking to the manager about it the other day and he said he wanted an area where people like me and a couple other people can go lift and be serious. They want to bring in a younger crowd thats into strength/bodybuilding and not the average soccer mom.

A couple weeks ago I got into a shouting match (totally uncharacteristic of me) with one of the trainers while I was deadlifting 530 × 3. He said if I couldn't control the weights don't lift it cause I was making too much noise. Same trainer bent a brand new bar they bought 2 weeks prior doing shrugs and dropping it on the bench when he was finished.

Working with POB has been great. He is gonna do my programming for my first meet in April. I'm probably super easy for him, he tells me what to do and I do it. And only hit him up if I'm having pain or other issues. Also I'm hoping he comes out to the Arnold so we can get a session in together at the Elitefts compound!

I can empathize on the situation with the commercial gym idiots. Among similar instances of being too loud while deadlifiting, this one punk in a "coach" shirt told my friend and I we couldn't use chalk while benching. I tried to reason with him and made it clear that I understand he has to say what he says bec of his job. He wasn't having it. I told him, "okay boss, now that we know it won't happen again." He said, "no! you have to go wash your hands right now or you can't continue working out!" This is when I lost it. I laughed hysterically for about 2 min and told him that if he would like me to wash my hands, he's going to have to fucking make me. His tough guy persona quickly faded as I approached him to make my point and a further regressed into threatening to tell the manager if I didn't wash the chalk off. I told him, "get the manager, bitch." The manger was not as confrontational or as stupid so we resolved the matter quickly. I never did see that nazi youth douche bag after that. Someone told me he quit. Good riddens. And yes, to this day I still use chalk. Fuck em.

My gym is the absolute worst for serious lifters. No equipment and its free, so people will come and just hang out. But its my only option. I cant wait to move and get to some old dank dungeon with no machines and all free weights.

I suppose the hang out crew thinks the squat rack is a perfect place for a gab session.

Yes! Or people think its a coat rack. And my gym only has one squat rack, so i got pissed off about that. It doesnt help that all my days involve squats and theyre supposed to go first.
Before I moved here I had joined a gym with a $40/month fee. But it was worth every penny. Lots of equipment. A seperate crossfit area (so theyd stay out of your way). And the fee kept the lazy people out.

Enough about that though. The log/lifts are looking good. Yours is helping me try to get better and get on your level. Especially that DL

Got the dates mixed up in the last post. Should be 11-26 and 11-28

11-30
Deadlifts 565 9RPE
1SET 3REPS

Another huge PR. Was thinking I would try for 555 since I did 545 last week or whenever it was. 500 moved as fast as it ever has and when I was debating where to go I threw the 35s on. Helped that the ifbb bikini chick I mentioned earlier in the log is was sitting in front of me and watching. She slapped me around a bit and borrowed some dudes nose tork(first time using it, glad I ordered some from elite during their Black Friday sale) and then boom.

Hoping squats go as well as today did when I do them Friday or Saturday.
