I basically say thank you ma'am to any women I interact with. Am I offending every female I communicate with?!
Most women I know hate it. I understand if it’s a guy in the military, but basically it’s saying/implying I’m old like a grandma.

Are you the same goldline source that came here and then went to BoP?why did you scam cris587? c587....you scammed...you are a scammer
Only people i correct on it are small members of my family. What happened to this generation....
When did calling a woman "ma'am" start meaning grandma or implying the woman is old?
I've heard some stories of military not liking to be called sir but I say get the fuck over it, being called sir shows respect. I dont always say it, mostly to strangers since I really have no one in my life to call those terms.
Unless someone saying it is family, friend, or an acquaintance, then I understand having them not say it, but if the person is a one time encounter, just accept it.

If you were enlisted in the Military being called Sir is an insult. Officers are called Sir and enlisted are called by their rank. Officers are generally not respected. Might want to know what your talking about before posting. I’m 10000% sure this is what TGI was referring to.What happened to this generation....

K thanks for the enlightenment...If you've got teenagers, they're old enough to get someone pregnant, which means you're old enough to be a grammy...
