Training and Nutrition Log

Nobody can hold 6%bf for a extended period of time unless you are genetically predisposed to being a freakishly low BF. As for the lifting and running calories thing usually during a 5x5 style workout 3 compound lifts and 3 accessory lifts being in the gym for 1.5 hours I'd burn about 400-600 so seems accurate and for a 30min cardio session around 200-350

Been a minute since I updated.
Squatted 405 for 6 today.
I know you can't hold low bf % for long, but I'm gonna get myself down low and then run a cycle and see where I can get myself.

Weighed in at 204, at the end of the day.
I'll check my weight tomorrow first thing in the AM.
Did back today, started off with pull ups and hit 27 for my first set, 20 for the next, and 15 for my last.
Other than that just hit rows, DB rows, reverse flies, face pulls, and some shoulder work

Love me some chin ups and pull ups. My best ever was 23 pull ups at 170lbs in prison hanging off the ledge of the upper deck with a towel over the sharp metal edge. When I was locked up I did ridiculous amounts off any surface possible. 5, 10 and even 25 sets of 10 throughout the day was common. Best I've done recently is 15 chin ups at 236lbs and 3x3 weighted chin ups with 300lbs total. 27 is incredible, more so at 200+.

Thanks man.
I spent about 4 days in jail and 6 months in prison and I saw some guys doing some wild bodyweight shit... talk about explosiveness. These guys were doing those wild ass push ups where they fly off the ground and smack their knees, clap three times behind their back, overhead, wherever. But no one could out do me for reps :P
When I went to prison it was shortly after I was out the army and I was stI'll used to mass amounts of pushups. 121 in 2 minutes is my best so far.
I once got 33 pull ups when I was about 180 in high school.

300lbs of a pull up is no joke....
236 is pretty heavy for 15 pullups too...
Not to mention the amount of weight your pushing and pulling in your othwr lifts.
I weighed in at 203.2 this morning, so I'm not too far above 200

I've seen some diamond handstand push ups and some guys that could do 130-150 regular push ups straight. Most I ever did was 99 straight.

They have weights at your joint? We had pretty good ones except the plates were welded to the barbells. After every yard or gym the porters put them all back on racks, so when you went out you had to grab whatever loaded barbells you were going to use and carry them where you were going to use them.

I bet you could do some reps with 300 total right now. Do you ever do weighted pull ups or chin ups? I'd kinda like to do a 400lb chin up at some point just for fun. I don't train them nearly as seriously as the powerlifts though, so it might or might not happen.

Yeah we had some decent stuff. Plates were able to come on and off, but everything looked like it was made there in prison. Smallest increment was 30 lbs too, and they were bulky, looked like bumper plates really.
Lots of big guys used towels and what not, since a lot of the barbells were rusty and jagged, lots of people cut there hands on stuff.

There were some 34 prison guard deaths there from 2010 to 2014 so there was some pretty beefed up security when I was there, so lots of games like football and basketball were played... and taken very seriously lol

When I say used towels, they had their buddies provide resistance when they rowed or curled or whatever they did

I've seen that in the county jail. Doing curls and stuff against one another with towels. I just made water bags or put books and commissary in a bag.

We could buy those brown jersey gloves from commissary, but they were mostly useless, especially in the winter and that iron is cold.

I'm finding it harder and harder to get into the gym to do anything other than legs... and doing them 3 times a week I'm sore as fuck all week haha.

I'm going to take a few days off, and start out on a M, W, F thing until I get my motivation back up.

Going to do, for the first time ever, a powerlifting split.

Alright guys! I'm changing everything!
Starting with my sex. Woman of the year 2016 here I come!! ;)

Actually just changing my training.
Monday and Friday, 6 sets of 3, starting out easy.
270 bench, 380 squat, and 390 deadlift. Going to add 5 lbs each week.
Wednesday I'll do 3 sets of 6 with whatever weight I feel comfortable at.

Will do random accessory work as well. If I can get into a gym with some bumper plates and platforms I will start aggressively tackling my power clean again.

Will be doing morning runs 3 days a week, slowly increasing to 5 days a week maybe.

Pull ups, push ups, ab stuff on days that I run.

For those that are powerlifters, whatcha think?

I would do 6x3 Monday, 5x5 Wednesday and 3x8 Friday and do power cleans on Wednesday instead of deadlift, maybe 6x3 for those. Besides that should work. Make adjustments as needed.

Just switches gyms today...
New gym has dumbbells past 90... (go to 165) and a platform for powerlifts.... so looks like I'll be working my way towards that 315 power clean!!!!

Might go try out the gym today...

Platforms are key to a good gym in my opinion. Best gains I made were when I left the machines gym and went to one that has 4 platforms and 4 squa tracks and only 1 cable crossover. Firm believer in big weights build big men
