W 18 drug

future synthetic drugs of abuse - donald a. cooper
erowid.org/library/books_online/future_synthetic/future_synthetic.shtml

a good read. this is the last line before conclusions.
"also several fentanyl derivatives have such high potencies that the quantities required to synthesize are trivial. for instance carfentanil is approximately 4000 times as potent as heroin and has an extremely favorable therapeutic index. hence, an easy weeks work for two chemists could provide 10 kilograms of carfentanil which would be equivalent to 40 metric tons of pure heroin."

And speaking of this... CBSA in Canada just recently seized 1kg of Carfentanil heading to Calgary. Aka they just seized 4 metric tons of heroin basically.

http://calgary.ctvnews.ca/authorities-make-major-seizure-of-carfentanil-at-vancouver-airport-1.3021669

Supposedly this is the second seizure they've made recently. It also appears Carfentanil has already been identified in numerous fatal ODs down in the USA. Looks like someone in China is mainstreaming this stuff now, will probably be hearing a lot more about it in the coming months as every greedy criminal creams their pants at the potential of it.

Come again? o_O

Edit- check that ...Google is a wonderful tool
This stuff isn't heard of up here.

What is flakka and why is it so dangerous? - CNN.com

imho, one of the most dangerous aspects of "flakka", are the unknowns. despite being over 50 years old, there is very little actual research on the drug.
another being the over hysterical "news" reports which seem to contain little in the way of science and an overabundance of sensationalism.
having done a half a dozen or more "bath salts", and a-pvp being called a "second generation" bath salt (less potent maybe more sides) I would say there isn't much too worry about. and considering the fact that a-pvp is now schedule 1 in the usa and canada, this problem shouldn't even exist. its against the law.
but the case can be made that drugs like "bath salts", whatever the fuck that means, and "flakka", are a DIRECT RESULT of drug prohibition laws. not only that, but replacements, "good" or "bad", are already available and have been for some time.

Been to this festival it's retardly fun. Some smart organizers.....

"the alberta government will fund several community agencies working to establish safe drug consumption sites in an effort to reduce the number of opioid-related deaths across the province."
"its critical that we are addressing the fentanyl and opioid crisis from a health perspective and harm reduction is a major part of that.."

some quotes I thought were interesting,

"harm reduction is about keeping them alive so they can make better decisions another day."

"if you talk to any police officer in alberta, they will tell that they cant arrest their way out of this problem."

Yeah Alberta is plagued with this problem at the moment. Guys from BC drive that shit(fentanyl) over to Alberta as well.
Off topic are you Canadian brother?

fuck no! just kidding :). but my grandmom was french canadian, so maybe we're related :D.
sometimes I just google stuff. that time I googled "w18 drug" in news.
I did it again two days ago and this is what I found.
http://kboi2.com/news/local/deadly-new-drug-making-its-way-into-boise-this-stuff-is-frightening
"an old drug many people have never heard of before is making a comeback. its called w-18 and its sweeping the nation."
"this stuff is in boise and its frightening, said casey hancuff, and boise police officer and drug recognition expert."
"w-18 is a derivative of opiates", not true.
"originally developed in a lab in the 1980's."
"it was meant to be a prescription painkiller." not true.
"however when the creators tested the drug, they discovered it was too strong, so they locked it away with the intention that it would never be prescribed or sold." not true.
"according to hancuff o_O, the compound is 10,000 times stronger than morphine and 100 times stronger than fentanyl, one of the strongest drugs on the street today." not true.
"because of the potency of w-18, one local pharmacist (WTF o_O how would he know) said its better compared to a loaded gun than any other drug on the market."
"'they talk somebody into trying this and it going to be you know it will kill people', said hancuff. 'its going to kill a lot of people. it already has killed a lot of people.'" no it hasn't.

not only is this "news" story factually incorrect, I think its totally fabricated. but it serves its purpose. scare and distract.

theres more stories like this, including some on "flakka" which was brought up in this thread. I thought about e-mailing some of the writers of these stories to share some thoughts and possibly share some facts, but I wonder if it would do anything.

and off topic,
go E-A-G-L-E-S. fuck the cowgirls. ( saw you post something in another thread. :))

A lot of OD's (quite a few resulting in death) here in my state on fentanyl/heroin cocktails. Something does need to be done about this epidemic. So then certainly the USA is not alone...stay safe Canada!

When a person OD's, ALL the junkies in town want to then know who's shit it was that they OD'd on. Why? So they know who has the good shit. The dealer then makes a killing. Literally.

Also, carfentanyl, if you TOUCH a pure speck of it, you will die. Imagine trusting your dealer with the job to cut that accurately with his dirty mortar and pestle.

Dead customers can't buy more drugs. so yes, they do care about preparing it correctly, if they didn't everyone taking it would die, but that's not the case, and believe me anyone seeking out w-18 is smart enough to know it must be cut using wet granulation.

This quote is complete BULLSHIT! I know this as a FACT and not as a guess. This is the same line of thinking as "bro-lore". Something completely made up but believed because it "sounds" correct. Prove to me they are using this method. EVERY LAST SINGLE ONE OF THEM! How do I know they don't? Because I have fucking spoken to the dealers who have made it before.

If you think your drug dealer can cut this accurately you are wrong. In fact, they would be risking their lives just trying to produce it (shows how careful they are!) And if you think your drug dealer has some factory like Pharmacom cutting shit in a "nice" facility, you are wrong. The raw in China maybe. But not your dealer who is cutting it in the US with a fucking butter knife. And some dealers flat out don't fucking care if you die. It will actually increase their business, NOT hurt it as you may have thought.

Although virtually impossible to tell what drug you are actually ingesting, most mainstream drugs are known for a reason... THEY ARE RELATIVELY SAFE! Stop fucking around with this "next gen" shit people.

Everybody wants the dope that's been killing people. "Aye my boy has some of that drop". They call it drop because it kills people. Drops them like flies, and the shit sells like hot cakes because of the potency. Junkies always want the strongest shit.

I had a chance to speak to a dealer yesterday. Real addict. He died twice of an OD and after 5 narcan shots he came back to life the first time. Not sure what happened with his 2nd OD.

Anyways, I ask him directly about this process you mention MD3 (BECAUSE I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU ARE WRONG ABOUT IT BEING SAFE). He explains to me that with wet granulation you can STILL end up with "hotspots" in the mixture. He knows some dealers that just grind the shit like crazy with a flat knife too and they think that is acceptable.

Stay far away from this shit people. Everyone IS dying from this shit and it is nearly impossible to cut correctly. How much trust do you have in your addict drug dealer?

I'm very well versed in this topic and experienced in the "drug world". I'm a recovering addict and I've been there and done that with all this shit. I'll say this, you're better off trusting the dealer that actually does the dope that he's selling, rather than the guy that sells it and has never tried it. The addict dealer is sort of the test dummy for the products he buys, the dealer that doesn't abuse the drug allows his customers to be that test dummy.

I cant find anything that supports this statement.
it might be best to focus on the drugs that people are actually od'ing on.

Don't be a "Google Scientist"...

Without revealing what I do/have done for a living, I can say that you have no idea what you are talking about and anyone reading this SHOULD take my advice.

At the hospital when someone OD's, do you think they try to figure out exactly what class of opioid the person OD'd on? Or do they focus their time and energy on saving the person's life????

I'm also curious as to the last time you spoke to a convicted drug dealer to investigate what the operation is and how they go about manufacturing the drugs along with distribution and intentional mislabeling of products? Tell me, when was the last time that you did that, because I can list numerous occasions for myself.

Not to beat a dead horse but...

Police respond to at least eight overdoses in Akron on Friday night

Heroin overdose: 1 dead in string of 12 heroin overdoses in Jennings County; fentanyl-laced heroin to blame

26 overdoses reported Monday evening

One dead after multiple overdoses in Mount Sterling

There you go. Proof. Now stop spreading false iformation that can harm others.
