What is a good spyware remover

I need a spyware remover that is free. My computer has been slow as hell these days, it's almost useless. It used to run perfectly up until 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure that most of the spyware comes from Kazaa. I get all of these popups and ads, plus my computer is always asking me if I want to download programs I've never heard of. I don't do it but I know something is very wrong. I have Norton antivirus, but I can't figure out how to update it because I think it's locked by a password. I think I might have one virus on my computer, which will go away once I have updated.

Bob, I'm at the website right now, but I can't see where you actually download the spybot program. When I click on the download link from the homepage, it takes me to an optional donation page. But I can't see where it says to start the download. Am I an idiot or am I just not seeing it?

Spybot worked well but it removed shit that I needed to make Kazaa work. I don't know how the hell I'm supposed to figure out what shit I have to keep on there in order for Kazaa to still work.

spyware blaster it gets spyware and highjackers. you can get it through spybot

Ad-aware 6.0 is critical, make sure you download the latest reference file as well. You can get it from download.com, just type in ad aware in the search. Spy bot is good, but doesn't catch as much as ad-aware does. Another good option to download would be zone alarm. Downloading the free version works fine. Zone alarm works as a firewall, so it will ask you if you want to allow certain software to access the internet. It's crucial when you surf porn sites alot, they are prone to install spyware & malware products on your computer.
