Yea, it really pissed me off. I wasn't hurt so it could have been worse. I could be someone with a debilitating injury that affects my training but nothing like that thankfully. It's a hunk of metal, at the end of the day that's all it is

I HATE how our culture has become so fucking sensitive and hypocritical. If a fatass tells you that your body is "gross" because you're "too muscular" or "have to many veins" it's cool and everyone backs them up for being "body confident" but when I turn around and say "take your fat ass to the gym" I become a villain and everyone hates me. It makes no sense.
Be careful with monoprice. I'm a distributor for them and not all cables are created equal.
They like to use 32-28awg typically unless it's a 'higher end' sku which will have the adequate 22awg shielded cable. This is almost never disclosed correctly.
Also, the smaller the cable the better with head phone jacks. Unless an audio signal is balanced it may act as an antenna and a 3.5mm jack isn't balanced, ever.

It's cheaper for them to hire 3-4 part timers as opposed to 1 full timer.

My job is comprised of about 10-15 full time employees and 50-60 temps. I didn't know this when I took the job.

We are currently undergoing a huge change at work, utilizing LEAN principles. First thing to go was overtime. Job didn't pay much, however we worked 50-60 hours a week, enabling decent paycheck. Next to go was the truly skilled people to another job because of the money. They have had to increase headcount to make up for lack of production, Now I'm surrounded by twenty somethings that don't know shit, and probably make more than me. And I have to TRAIN them. Talk about a slap in face. Fuck them and their five year plan.

That's how my old job was. They tried to get rid of OT when they implemented a lean policy but we lost so many people and couldn't get enough new ones to replace them that OT was mandatory. Now I'm at a new job and want OT and can't get it. I have to train all the temps and 75% don't speak English. Fun fun

Yeah its such a cluster fuck there right now. We are on our third HR person, over 200 employees, and just keep chasing our tail. Our new owners bought the BRAND name, and have some idea how to cookie cutter stamp out product that used to be custom made, by skilled craftsmen. Quality has gone to shit, managers are always having meetings to talk about the next meeting, can't stay on schedule, accidents through the roof! Just yesterday they removed the table saw because of one idiot. My supervisor can't read English, or a tape measure.

We build the "Bentley" of center console boats, top of the line, we have no competition in our price range, it's a cash cow, however now? I just don't know lol. For strength I turn to bb, it keeps me sane. Gotta go work, Peace.

He was the first employee hired 15 years ago, most seniority, good worker, however...... Definetly a case of who you know not what you know. With new mgmt. He has been under intense pressure. He is a good dude, just not right tool for job

I was in the construction biz for awhile, until the bubble burst about 2010. Things are finally starting to pick up again. I really need to figure out a way to be my own boss, its just tough to get started.
