I get pissed with flex power alerts in socal. The utility rates are higher if you use during peak hours, after 6pm they go down. They also have been donating led lighting to reduce power consumption by home owners and giving rebates for energy efficient homes.
You would think the power company wants every dime they can make right? Well they do, but the bread and butter is from business that use three phase power, not home owners. By lowering the home owners usage they reduce the chances of a power outage which costs them alot for a little return. After 6 pm most business are closed so then they can make money off the home owners power consumption. So after 6 they want you to use all the power you can.

Im from cali but hadnt been back for 3 years until last month. I love it because I was born and raised there, but the whole damn state has gone downhill. No water, and they are getting money from folks however possible. I gotta go back because my son, parents, and everyone else I know lives there; but I dont think ill ever actually live there again.

one thing that pisses me off and i seem to be in a minority with everyone i know personally, is that it is now illegal to buy raw milk straight from the cow.. it has to be pasteurised and homogenised. which is fucked. one kid gets sick and they say it was cos the milk was raw when people have been using raw milk to treat certain illnesses since forever..
also how much codex has fucked the food industry. I'm not overly anal about eating straight organic but these days majority of the food labelled as 'organic' is most likely not.

Im actually fed up with the whole country, I would go to Canada or Europe (Germany) if I were single to escape theis socialist style govt. My lawn is almost dead, I cant afford the high ass water bill, im going to concrete the bitch. Its also against the law to collect rain water once it hits the ground, kinda funny since it goes in a storm drain straight to the ocean.
The problem with socal is that its a desert turned into a tropical paradise thats over populated. I have an interview in San Francisco in a couple weeks, maybe its better up there.
