Ground chicken burgers.
I’m going to go easy. Last time I went back to meat I had stomach pains for weeks until I just went back vegan

yea man, totally agree. so i told my wife if i go back to a moderate amount of meat that its going to be my way which is source chickens and turkeys from local farms in state and bring them home to eat. i'm not into the factory farmed shit.Tell me about the kind of meat you're buying. Is it special in some way? IE organic, grass fed, etc?
I think ground meat can generally be a good idea but it can also be hard on digestion in some circumstances. There's a lot of extra stuff in ground meat like connective tissue and such that you may struggle to digest. In addition, those same extra goodies are what can be good about ground chicken since there's collagen and such included in an edible way.
I recommend adding kombucha or kefir soda with your meals if you integrate more meat into your diet.

so this ground chicken most def has beaks, buttholes, organs, bones and everything else imaginable.
she said to me: "lets finish what we have i the freezer then we'll get the local farmed meat"
sounded like a compromise
any future ground meat will be bought whole and ground in front of me
i'm going back to meat really because i'm so into training and i want to just keep everything in moderation: i.e. soy products, meat, etc. plus me being vegan for so long and my wife not vegan made it hard to have dinners together, we were kind of doing our own thing every night so this will make it easier on herI think that's wise, I buy a lot of local stuff.. I'm in a good area for it. I'm very picky about eggs... Mine are always sourced directly from a farmer.
However, I'm cool with compromise on where to buy some stuff. Aldi, for example, has superb grass fed ground beef that's responsibly raised but it's not really local. Grass fed ground beef is often a good choice because they don't always have the fillers, they do sometimes. You can order your ground meat by cut too, no fillers there.
How are you with fish?
Just some thoughts.. I like where you're going with it.

so i'm fine with cold water fish from the north atlantic (i'm a pain in the ass)
i won't touch any fish coming from the pacific where the most polluted fish come from and 90%of grocery store fish comes from. its called 're-freeze' fish. true cold water salmon and cod are extremely expensive. not $4 or $10 a pound but more like $20 per pound.
farmed fish labeled as wild is whats in the major chains except whole foods which i recently learned. farmed fish are really bad for us.
so the answer is i'm g2g with true cold water fish. i live in new england so i have a great source of wild caught fish off the coast of maine which i will use instead of store bought.
i will avoid crustaceans and shellfish like the plague
Good for you man, you do what makes you happy and experiment to see what gets you successful gains. As @Eman said, definitely drink some kombucha or incorporate fermented foods. I do a lot of kimchi and sauerkraut.baahhaa. lol.
na i'm straight with red meat and pork. i cant believe i'm eating this shit. goes against everything i believe in (not killing animals but the shit they stand in and are pumped with)
wait until @Morefyah finds out i'm a turncoat. lol.
na, i'm going to try this locally farmed stuff in moderation maybe 3-5X a week and only for dinner. rest of my diet will be vegan and see how this goes
His ol’ lady gonna be sorry tonight, sparks on the couch for sure!He would probably fall over and die!

Don’t threaten me with a good time Eman
Although, vegan surf and turf ain’t so bad. This is from a few months back.
Not all meat is raised in conditions stated above. I agree the meat you get in some stores sucks but there are other alternatives. You could always actually go fishing and hunting and then you know what you are eating. Look around and find a cool rancher and buy a steer and have it butchered by a true butcher. Not all feedlots are like the horror shows that the media puts out. Not trying to convert any vegans but there is good animal protein to be had. In the end its your choice.baahhaa. lol.
