Is skirt basically flank? Looks very similar

It looks similar but I prefer skirt much more. I think flank is leaner, it comes from the midsection area of the steer. Flank is thinner but more tender if you can cook it right... It's from around the diaphragm area.

Smoked two pork shoulders overnight last Monday.
