Damn brother!!!!! It hurts just imagining what you must be going through. I really respect the time you have taken to help this brother out by telling him to get off the pain meds. I was a junky for 3 years and in that time i met many others that ended up in the same boat as me and they all had one thing in common, pain meds. They almost all had back pain of some kind and after years of pills they made the leap to heroin because the pills didnt work anymore. Shit if i couldnt score i would take 10 vicadin and they barely gave me any relief. And kicking opiates is a pain i dont wish on anybody.
Anyway , i hope you try the injections and get off those pills @Nolimitbody, opiate addiction is pure hell.

I have a late ex who I had to watch fight the addiction until she passed. It's terrible that the stages of addiction to opiates changes a person so much

Really? I figured seafood would be pretty affordable in Texas with all the fishing in the gulf.
Im lucky to have so many friends that are fisherman, they just hook me up, sometimes so much that i just dont want to eat fish for a while.

I'm 10 mins from sea, local port. Fresh seafood every where. I just have to stay away from
Shrimp. Love the mahi, mahi, and the pan seared Ahi Tuna.

Seafood usually starts at about $9/lb
Compared to beef $3/lb
Chicken$2/lb
Pork$2/lb

Yield and perishability are much easier variables to control on live stock as opposed to fish that's why it's so much cheaper. But nutrition of seafood is definitely superior, with the stipulation that you don't get it from contaminated waters.
My father in law bags a few deer a year and I get to partake in venison steaks, that's some clean meat.
