The psychology of Russia and Ukraine people is an interesting one. They have endured so much suffering, but they don't seem to want to direct anger and revenge at that small group of parasites that have absolutely no regard for the suffering the people have tolerated. Where I live cops are mostly to collect revenue. I'm surrounded by 99% whites, mostly Christian conservatives, working class, some upper and lower class.
Most of the people I'm surrounded with are armed. You wouldn't last long if you thought about forming a gang and messing with people as they'd put an end to you real quick.
Chicago is the way it is, because the people that cause those problems are low on impulse control. It's one thing to sell drugs, I could care less, it's another when you murder and rape. I don't know people around me that would put up with that if the cops were out of the picture. You'd get your head blown off where I live if you tried to pull that.
People seem to forget that humans don't put up with shit if you mess with them. It's mostly when you have a situation where you're expected to wait until the cops come and rescue you, they put you in this defenseless mindset, when in fact a cop is just a man with a gun(you're a man with a gun as well). If the cops were out of the picture the violent criminals would be gone in a few weeks where I live because they'd be killed and you better believe it, they wouldn't last a single afternoon and if they did they'd be running for their lives.
Even anarchist camps have stated how they keep the peace. They pick up a shotgun and state that we are polite to each other because there's lots of dirt we can dig holes to stuff bodies in.
It's your choice, but I don't trust the government to save me. If I'm out in the middle of nowhere and I feel my life is at danger and I have had that situation come up late at night when I go out for a walk in areas where there are no people and a group of young guys that look like they want to fuck with me makes a direct line towards me for no reason and you can tell they're up to no good, I got my pistol on my side.
