Who is our biggest, most shredded member at Meso?

The definition of high intensity is a percentage of a persons 1 RPM. The closer you are to your 1 RPM the higher the intensity. Volume is the opposite of high intensity

Dont hate me bro. Ita a pet peeve of mine seeing that word thrown around out of its intended definition
We talking exercise intensity or physics here big guy? Intensity cannot be defined as one specific thing.

Not the biggest or most shredded , but I made some great progress the last 14 weeks trying to put on some size . I got alot fatter than I planned , but I got alittle to caught up in numbers on the scale instead of keepin tabs on the mirror lol . I started off at 213 right out of a cut , and ended up at 248 at my biggest . On a short 6 week cruise now then starting prep for a May show (classic) . Honestly, if i gained a solid 5 lbs I'll happy ! View attachment 81501 View attachment 81502

Btw , there are some fucking monsters in this thread ! Keep killing it , its motivational as hell . Everytime I feel like im doing something special I see some freak beast in here , and it makes me grind even harder lol
Amazing bro! Inspiring as well. You look great. Ty for sharing.

Just was looking at them big guy! Great job.

Thank you Mands. My off season started as bulk. An injury set that back so now I’m using dryer compounds and watching my kcal and macs the best I can. I never gave gh a shot. I think I’ll respond well to it, when I can afford it. ;(
Maybe Santa will put a few kits in my stocking

"Intensity is the amount of physical power (expressed as a percentage of the maximal oxygen consumption) that the body uses when performing an activity. "

Exercise intensity - Wikipedia

Therefore intensity as it refers to the weights is 1 rep max = 100% intensity and it goes down from there.

That's what I like about you big guy and why we get along! It's all black or white :)

Yes one way to measure intensity if through oxygen consumption, but what about percentage of maximum heart rate, frequency, volume, time under tension?

Can I not be intense at lesser load but higher frequency?

I do understand what you are saying and agree that 1RM is the top and just trying to expand your thinking a bit. What are you weighing and how do you feel?

All of this you guys are discussing is very fascinating to say the least. I am an intence dude. Weather it’s TUT or 1RM. To me what matters is that I continue to bring that same intensity thru out my whole training session. The only other alternative for me personally would be vulume training....

Hmmmm...there are 3 important variables behind basic strength training.
1 intensity
2 volume
3 frequency

Number 2 deals with number of muscle groups worked, exercises, sets and reps.
Number 3 deals with the training sessions performed per week.
We already know the definition of intensity. That is the relationship between energy output and your 1 rep max. Maximum heart rate should be included in intensity. As its a byproduct of intensity? But this is all in relation to weights. Not running or endurance based activities.

So to answer your question i dont think someone could be as intense at a lesser load. Because that is the exact opposite definition of intensity...
I guess

Clearly you've never seen me rep out the green dumbbells...

I think one of the best things that can happen to us as advanced weight lifters is to get put in a situation (okay, environment) where THE ONLY OPTION WE HAVE is lighter weights (for example, 1/3 to 1/2 of your max) and to STILL go ahead and workout with those weights anyways, and lift to failure on every set!!!

Placed in the scenario above, and providing you take the workout seriously and genuinely lift to failure (even though it may take 40+ reps) YOU WILL AMAZE YOURSELF with how good of a lifting session you'll have and shock yourself with how good of a pump you will leave the hotel fitness center (for example) with!

Fucking awesome dude wow!

What did your cycle look like when you went from 213 to 248 and how long did it take you?

Thanks and again well done bro :)

Thanks bro ! 14 weeks total but 3 of them I wasn't on gear at all while i was waiting for all my blood tests to come back after i got sick .. just eating huge and lifting .

Then once my blood work came back good i got back on 350 mgs test prop , 350mgs mast prop , 700mgs of npp ew and 50mg anadrol the first 4 weeks and the last 3 weeks . Used a little humalog twice a week post workout when i hit lagging body parts . And was just cruising on growth at 2iu in the a.m.

Nothing particularly crazy ...

Interesting! You normally run low amounts of test?

No , just something im experimenting with ... but now that ive got some reference that it can be successful its probably how ill approach things from here out. Lower on the androgens higher on the anabolics . Ive ran 1.5g of test plus another 2g of anabolics before with mediocre results compared to this run, so there's something to say for the less is more approach . My prep is gonna be 250 test, 1g primo throughout, 350 tren the last 6weeks , 50/20 winny+superdrol the last 4 weeks ... we'll see how it goes ..

Edit : 6-8iu growth and as much insulin as my diet will allow too(which wont be to muchc considering ) , but those i wont be as conservative with .
