Bodyfat is a whole other issue here than trying to maintain lean muscle.
If you packed on muscle over and above you natural limits do you even think that your natural testosterone production can maintain this added muscle over your natural limits?

I have seen it with myself and others. I think you can keep some of your strength but as far as gains, you will lose most if you are at the top of your game.
Remember connective tissue grows slower than muscle and injuries do happen on gear. This alone can take those precious gains and piss them down the toilet.
