Will Power PCT Help Me?

I have quit the HCG and I am now running 50mg clomid / 20mg nolvadex daily. My sex drive has diminished and I am fatigued again. I will be running clomid 30 days, and nolvadex 45 days. I will get bloodwork shortly afterwards to see if the PoWeR PCT worked. If it does not, I will suck it up and probably get on TRT (from doctor) unless anyone here with experience in ASIH has other opinions on what to do.

First of all, don't get discouraged. I am in the exact same boat as you are. I have taken extended breaks in the past, and it DOES get better.

I would wait 30 days after your last dose of nolvadex, and then get blood work done. Your values may be low, but they almost always improve with time. If you really are certain you're not feeling well, you can try a lower dose of clomid for 6 months. Many endos will take this route first anyway.

TRT is like gear. You'll hear lots of rave reviews from people who have been doing it for 6 months or a year, then lots of people who hate it and who have just as many problem as before they started.

I will say this, the fatigue is in many ways more of a problem than sex drive. It is also something that I never have gotten a clear answer on as to the cause. It also gets better, but for me takes even longer. Personally, I think it is related to thyroid hormones, but haven't done the tests as it is a PIA. Thryoid supplements like forskolin, iodine, and mixes with tyrosine and other herbal ingredients do seem to help.

Personally, I'm ditching heavy weight lifting and switching to cardio and light weight lifting from here on out. I'm hoping that helps with energy.

so did you regain your sex drive and energy when you were on hcg ? because your labs on hcg showed that you have recovered....i personally dont like serms ..... i recover better on hcg and arimidex for mild cycle .... if you used deca or tren then also use dostinex (cabergoline) .......you can continue with the serms for now .....after stopping serms wait atleast one month then repeat labs i hope that you recover brother. i recovered on 2500 iu of hcg every 3 days and 75 iu hmg every other day for 1 month
Arimidex .5 mg every 3rd day
dostinex .5mg tab every five days
vit e vit c tabs.....cycle was test tren boldenone and some anavar all my stuff pharm grade

i would rec 4-6 weeks of 500iu 2x a week HCG followed by 4-5 weeks of clomid and tamox and then a blood test 1-2 months after that.

also as mentioned is you could get tested while on hcg and see what functions are or are not working. IMO

Dont get blood work too soon after stopping serms. You need to wait 6-8 weeks post serm therapy so you can gauge your true recovery. Getting it sooner than that will not provide you with an accurate reflection as believe it or not the serms will still be impacting your #'s. Wait 6-8 weeks, then get bloods, then take it from there IMO.

Yes on HCG I felt fine. Good libido, low fatigue. After dropping HCG and resuming SERMs I have lost libido and gotten fatigue back. I will be trying to continue the SERMs for a total of 45 days and than getting blood tests the next month.

I am somewhat discouraged, and may go the TRT route if the SERMs don't end up working out :( Quality of life is important to me and I don't like being exhausted all day and having no libido.

Quality of life is important for everyone, of course. But, don't rush back onto it without giving your body a chance to recover. MOST people do recover.

ok carry on with your serms ...... and then wait for a month for serms to clear your system then get blood tests also if you dont recover i advise a test only cycle low dose 250 per week and then pct just with hcg and arimidex 2500iu every 3 days for a month ....then stop this method is fast and works better for me...........what was your cycle btw ?

How long have you been off? What PCT did you use if any? What drugs were you running and when did you stop them and start PCT?

Since discontinuing the HCG I have lost all of my libido and am exhausted throughout the day again. I am ordering more complex bloodwork tomorrow. I will report back.

thats to be expected on PCT.. run the 4-5 weeks of SERMS then 6-8 weeks ftart that get blood work. DO NOT do bloods right after, it wont be accurate at all and a waste.
HCG causes shutdown in its own ways/areas, so right now you are waiting for that system to come back fully and some weeks of feeling off is to be expected as such with people going into PCT after cycle, part of the game.
but i would rec maybe getting some CIA, its good for during PCT or issues like this.

good luck

Update:

I got some bloodwork to check the status of my clomid / nolva PCT. I have been off of the HCG for several weeks now:

Testosterone Serum: 888 (range 348-1197)
Cortisol: 25 (range 2.3-11.9)
LH: 6.4 (range 1.7-8.6)
FSH: 3.4 (range 1.5-12.4)
Estradoil: 41 (range 7.5-42.6)
Prolactin: 9.4 (range 1.5-15.2)

Any interpretation on these? I was surprised to see my testosterone is still high from the SERMs even though my libido dropped off after discontinuing the HCG. The prolactin was one I was suggested to get, but came back in range. Could it be the cortisol causing me issues? How do you reduce it?

yes the clomid and nolvadex are keeping your test high by producing lh and fsh....... libido can be a problem as clomid and nolvadex cause loss of libido.....how many more days are left of serms use ? only one month after that you can judge by bloodwork whether you have recovered or not

I will say that your LH and FSH values seem low from extended SERM use. I would continue PCT for another 4 weeks.

I finished the PCT several weeks ago. I tested last week and test came back at 490, but my libido and quality of life are still shot. No libido whatsoever, worse than when I was on PCT.

How could testosterone make my libido normal but 490 ng/dl test could not?

I am scheduled to talk with a endocrine doctor next week, but I will either be going on TRT from him or "self prescribed" if I can find a good source.

Get a doctor to check you first
No matter if prescribed or self prescribed try some HCG before TRT
Doctors are less reluctant to prescribe HCG than Testosterone. You can ask them you've read it is a 'natural' way to increase testosterone.
Get blood tests and take some antiestrogens to get estradiol level below midrange, yet not below the minimum range.
Don't listen to shills telling you to go straight for TRT. Few sources sell quality HCG so they push what they sell.
Be aware that few doctors will prescribe T or HCG with 490 levels. But many tweak their doses to get low levels when getting tested (so the blood tests will show a low level thus doctors can prescribe them)

Also get tested for Free T3 (thyroid)
low or low normal levels can make you feel really tired, more even so than low testosterone.

I have pharma HCG and have just finished using it at a dosage of ~2000iu EOD for 12 days. My lab results on day 12 where:

Testosterone (serum): 920 (range 348-1197)
LH: 9.1 (range 1.7-8.6)
FSH: 6.5 (range 1.5-12.4)
Estradoil: 50 (range 7.6-42.6)

Question, doesnt hcg drop your lh and fsh as itz an analog and not detectable as such in labs?

I am now working with Defy Medical, and they are putting me on an extended Clomid course with blood tests throughout.

Obviously, Clomid doesn't seem to help my Libido issues, but here is to hoping for the best.

If Clomid does not work, we will try HCG than TRT.
