Funny story: At my local gym there was an attractive guy who approached me a few times to compliment me on my progress as I had gone through a major body transformation. 115 lbs lost, powerlifting, body composition changes - the whole success story by showing up everyday and putting in simple hard work.

6 months down the line I'm swiping on Tinder and one of my matches messages me. I take a closer look and see its the guy from the gym. I asked him why he didn't ask me out in person and he explained the gym isn't really a place to pick up, and I always seemed focused, and he was focused...blah blah.

We went out for a couple months, meeting up in the mornings at the gym, working out side by side...stealing sweaty kisses and butt grabs. It was fun until I decided I really liked him, looked him up on FB and found out he had a gf. His HS sweetheart of almost a decade. LOL

Omg! Perfect example of what NOT to do if you're THAT guy... note*** must be single!

@jaymaximus I agree with the ladies and think that the best way to start up a conversation with a female at the gym would be to compliment her on strength, form or dedication and find a way to discuss training. I've never felt weirded out by someone approaching me that way.

@RodgerThat Just like GG said, we do see everything!

I'd be a little wary about giving advise to random females, only because there are a ton of guys that do the same, even though they don't have a clue as to what they're talking about. Not saying you don't, because obviously you know your stuff, just approach cautiously!

Another reason I usually don't say anything because guys are always trying to give their opinion. I have quite a few people at my gym that ask for advice so I think I'll just stick to people that ask. You gals are great wish meso had more active female par takers!

How big will my girls clit get? I'm alright with some size but I don't want her bulge being bigger than mine. Let's say 20mg var for 10 wks

A little off topic but I once tried giving a guy a tip by telling him he should use one of those pads for heavy barbell hip thrusters. He looked like he was struggling and in pain. I go heavy and there's no way I could do them without the thick pad. Anyway, I got the feeling that he thought I was either a know-it-all or hitting on him (so not the case) and now I feel awkward whenever I see him, ha. I told myself to never give advise or tips again unless asked.

It probably won't even change! Seriously. A bit of var isn't enough to change anything. My biggest change so far has been to actually become MORE feminine in that my butt has exploded in size and my curves much more pronounced with a slimmer midsection. Of course I've been training hard, but still. My biggest concern is my boobs have shrunk but that's common with fat loss.

I would love for my butt to explode in size on cycle, haha.

Have you found women are far more embarrassed or shy to admit they are using AAS compared to men? I wonder if it's since I'm a male they feel I won't understand, or since it's significantly more taboo they just hide it? There are women I have befriended over the years that are CLEARLY using AAS, not possibly, but certainly... After years of training with them, chatting with them etc. they STILL maintain they are natural when they KNOW I am not.... Odd to me.

it's simply due to the stereotypes... when you think of gear, you think MEN and women who look like MEN... I'm not surprised. Most people judge when you tell them so it's easier to stay quiet. They are simply not wanting to be lectured or put down or judged. That's all.

For me personally, if someone asks, I never deny. They seem puzzled and the first thing they say... 'but you look like a girl and you can't really tell except the muscle and tone and how lean I am'.

I did notice that over the years since more bikini to bb females are using gear, it is a little more accepted. But then there are men who are totally against females using gear. They have that misconception that their ladies will become men! lol Sure, maybe if that is their goal but there are many compounds that can be used safely. In my opinion, why should you guys be the only ones allowed to enhance your physiques with some help from AAS... we want some of that extra edge too, even if it's just to look super hot in a bikini.

Good points.

It's funny, really. Years ago I wouldn't be interested in muscular or BB'ing type chicks. I really only liked tiny and thin girls. After years and years of seeing them in the gym, I've transitioned into liking the huge quads, hamstrings and glutes!

Muscles, women, weightlifting...no matter how trendy it is - which it is very much so at the moment - it will still be a niche interest amongst women.

Women have more at stake - it's an illegal and dangerous activity to experiment with drugs, especially for a hobby. We are upheld to a different standard than men because more often than not, we are mothers, caregivers, career women.

The old saying is 'boys will be boys' and it carries over even into adulthood. Violence, adultery, gambling, risky activity, and general rabble rousing is much more tolerated with men than it is women.

So along with the points GG made, it comes down to our position in society. Our careers are considered privileges; our responsibilities of motherhood and housekeeping too serious for us to be compromising with substances that could make us incapable of doing our jobs.

Women carry a lot more guilt to admit to participating in illegal and dangerous activity.

Hmmmm. I respectfully disagree with a lot in this post, but you're entitled to your opinion :)

How can you disagree with the real life experiences we face as women each and every day?

These aren't imagined limitations and discriminations that braless, hairy armpitted feminists are complaining about, they are actual studied phenomena and proven cultural occurrences of women and our 'place' in society.

I have to agree with wunderpus unless I misunderstood your post... I'm taking it as you're implying that someone in this lifestyle, specifically a woman, can't have those same responsibilities or be accountable for their actions? That if we have to be the mother, female figure, we can't be in this lifestyle and/or sport where we take enhancement drugs that will help us look and perform better. Where men...or...boys will be boys... do whatever they please and it's ok for them?

To be frank, it does sound a lot like what the feminists complain about... It's just a pseudo-version as you wish to not be associated with them. I will address each of your points in the first post, with my opinions, as you wish.

This is ludicrous. You have nothing more to lose than I do. I work a real job, and I make real money. My life would be over as I know it if I were to be arrested and/or jailed for possessing a scheduled substance. I have government and other bodies regulating my employment and certifications for what I do.... HOW do you have MORE at stake than I do? I am a caregiver, I am a provider to many. I cannot be a mother so I don't understand how that's relevant in terms of potential consequences.

The old saying, huh? How do you feel about generalizations or stereotypes about women, especially when being used to paint myself as a potential victim? Hmm. Not so nice when the coin is flipped, yeah? I will opt out of using a stereotype about women out of respect to all of the others who view this thread.

Careers considered privileges? Weird, I'd bet all the women in my office wouldn't call their success a privilege, they would call it a result of hard work. They don't sit around and mope about how oppressed they are, they are proactive, rather than reactive. Again with the motherhood, I could potentially be a father (although I am not as far as I know).... But, if I WERE a father, it is no less or more important than your position as a father. Housekeeping? Is this the 1800's?

Women carry a lot more guilt to admit to participating in illegal and dangerous activity.

Again, speaking on behalf of all women. I'm sure they'd be proud to have you as their spokesperson. Oh, and you know how much guilt men carry, do you? Or, let me guess, that's an assumption....?

How can you disagree with the real life experiences we face as women each and every day?
How can you generalize women as a whole, and expect them to carry all the "poor me" delusions of victimization and sexism that you do?

These aren't imagined limitations and discrimination that braless, hairy armpitted feminists are complaining about, they are actual studied phenomena and proven cultural occurrences of women and our 'place' in society.
They really do appear to be imagined. It's clear you are letting your delusions and insecurities rule your mindset.

At the end of the day, I respect the hell out of @GearGodess. She is a go getter and has the epitome of a winner's mindset, she is most definitely not made from the same cloth you are. I am not a sexist, I am not a feminist, I am not an anti-feminist... I am a person who believes in equal rights regardless of skin color, sex, religion, sexual orientation etc. I will judge you on your statements alone.
