However, I would like to stress one last thing for you to know just for my own piece of mind. The bible does not teach that salvation can be had through the works of man. You can't work your ass off everyday for the good of man and still go to hell. Salvation comes by accepting in your heart that Christ laid down his life as payment for your sins, so that you may walk away free. But if you do not accept this, Christ cannot help you.
Sadly, there are several denominations of Christian churches who've lost sight of this. As such, they depend more and more on works as their primary operational teaching. This dependence on human efforts is where much of the hypocritical attitudes, arrogance, and plain ugliness that turn people off of religion come from. Sad but true.

Again, this I think, is the main failing of Islam.

In fact, I believe he has come to all of us. You see, I believe that there is substantial grounds for an argument that the law of morality has been written on the hearts of men. It doesn't come from a book, rather, the book merely puts into textual form what was already there.
Think about it. If men were born as a blank slate with no moral code ingrained within them whatsoever, then there would be complete moral subjectivism. But there is not. And the only theory that could support this observation is that the morals were already there. We can all agree that murder is wrong, cheating, stealing, and lying are all regarded as wrong too. We know this from when we are very young. So, God has in fact instructed all of us on how we are to live, and he has done this before we were ever born.
And I am not the only one who subscribes to this theory on the source of morality. David Hume the famous philosopher and skeptic, who was an aethiest by the way, wrote extensively on his belief that morality springs from sentiment. The Apostle Paul, Jesus, Immanuel Kant, C.S. Lewis, Thomas Aquinas, are all in agreement on this as well. Educated an insightful men from both sides of the religious fence can all agree that this instruction to live in a goodly way was there before we were ever introduced to any form of religious dogma. The reason I choose to follow Christ is because I believe He is the one who actually knows my heart. The Book is merely a guide to help when the heart is confused or overwhelmed. In my opinion Islam strayed when men thought that they could do it all by themselves without God's help.

I spent four years acquiring a degree in philosophy and ethics; a degree that will force an individual to confront every single one of his beliefs face to face to discover their truth or falsity. Also possible. A person could go the naturalist route, like Hume, or the metaphysical route, like me. But either way it still shows that its there before we were ever taught.

I believe the entire bible to be true..all 100 % of it..Jesus as gods son was sent to earth to atone for our sins..we are called to accept that...john 3 : 16 For god so loved the world that he sent his only son so that all who believe in him shall be saved...old timer..if you are alive when jesus returns you will be put through trial and tribulation..hopefully you will see the prophecy long written has come to pass and accept Christ as yuour saviour...if you die before this time and still reject him ..yes..you will go to hell.
