Wunderpus' get bigger cycle

I don't have any experience with buying training programs, but $200 seems like a lot....And it was on special?? Where's the $59.99 value pak?? lol I'm surprised ya couldn't just find it YT though. Man I hope it works out for ya!!
Me too, but I will pay $200 for 3 months of gains.... Shit, we spend that on gear...

Day one of "annihilation" by John meadows.... It was good, I think I need to familiarize myself with higher intensity and less volume, I'm used to blasting the shit out of volume.... Hmm, lessons.

Never had a custom program or a trainer etc, but I can see how it could definitely be motivating. After lifting for so long I think a lot of us tend to think we have tried everything already and know everything about bodybuilding. We obviously don't, and There's so much out there to still learn. Kill it man sounds fun!

@gr8whitetrukker , maybe I misspoke.... I get a lot of intensity in terms of volume and minimal rest, I'm conditioned for that. I'm not very well-versed in doing just 3 sets of 8, for example, of bench and being done. Normally it's 5-7 sets of 8-10. So, I am now struggling to exert more effort into each lift and go heavier than I'm used to. It's not bad, just new.

Intensity isn't how you DO your volume sets. High intensity training is failure training my friend. They are opposites. If you do not approach the moment of failure and go beyond this program will provide very little

I'm not sure if taking sets to failure is indicated for this routine, I really don't think it is. Intensity is defined as percentage of 1RM in most training circles with the exception of bodybuilding which has hijacked the word to mean failure techniques. Effort is a better fitting word for taking a set to failure than intensity.

Well essentially they are the same as doing a single rep is failure training. Intensity isn't a term reserved for the PL elitist .
I'm just assuming meadows training is another spin off HD training hence the small work load

Here's an example of how a group of sets is structured in this plan-

Bench press, hit a warmup set. Follow that with another set of increased weight. Keep increasing the weight of your sets until you hit your 8 rep max. Once you establish that, you do 3 sets of that weight for 8 reps (sometimes it looks like 7 reps, sometimes 10). I totally understand what you're saying, I'm just not used to going all out every set, normally I do that in my last 3 or so lifts, as I incorporate a lot of drop sets. This program doesn't incorporate drop sets until week 3. It's certainly interesting.

I had alot of luck with failure training as that has been my M.O since high school. I just recently switched. But failure training is fun. Be prepared to be exhausted:oops:
If your not your doing it wrong

Gonna want to bring a pen&paper in with you. Keep records like I do. You should be getting stronger reps or weight every week. This is critical

Never bought a program. I did acquire p90x from someone. But i do like them. Whether its strength training, p90x, insanity, etc i love having everything layed out so all you gotta think about is doing what's layed out..
Im interested to see how it works out for you.

I dont know how you do it. Between the manual workout logs and manual food logs. I just dont know if I have the patience.
For the first time Im going to have to manually log my workouts starting in january. And even then im thinking of setting up an excel spreadsheet.

I have records back to high school. What works what doesnt. Invaluable

Excel is the way to go. make up a template with your percentages and then copy and paste for each month. If you bring your phone to the gym for music, you can download Dropbox and access the excel sheet when your at the gym.

Dropbox? Ill have to look into it. I was just looking into making a spreadsheet since theres no app for my template.
I think ive become tech dependant.

Dropbox will just let you access your spreadsheet from multiple devices, it's like a cloud storage. I made an excel template for a Wendler 5/3/1 program I plan to run in January. Tech dependency is everywhere for better or worse.

Yep. I will be doing that, great advice. Also, I will be training with a partner so there will be a lot more accountability.
